I had the honor of walking through the new memorial honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – which will be dedicated on Sunday – with civil rights icon and Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga.

Touring that memorial with him must have been what it would be like to walk through the World War II memorial with Audie Murphy. Everyone swarmed him, wanting to thank him for the work he’d done decades before.

He read the King quotes etched in stone, and reflected on his friend.
