Reid Hits Romney Over Home Foreclosure Comments

On the day that the Republican candidates will take the stage in the Las Vegas debate tonight, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., singled out Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for his comments on home foreclosures to highlight the difference between Democrats and Republicans.

“Nevada has the highest foreclosure rate in America, and it has for almost three years,” Reid said today. “And here’s what Mitt Romney said. He would just let them hit rock bottom. I don’t know what’s more graphic than that in how we have different views of what the world should be like than our Republican friends.”

In an on camera interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal Romney took aim at President Obama’s handling of the foreclosure problem in the nation.

“Don’t try to stop the foreclosure process,” Romney said, “Let it run its course and hit the bottom.”
