Trade Rep and Texan Ron Kirk Suggests Gov. Rick Perry ‘Flaming Out’ Like a Comet
U.S Trade Representative Ron Kirk – the former mayor of Dallas – waxed critically poetic about Texas Governor Rick Perry’s presidential run today.
“Too often the brightest stars are comets,” Kirk said. “But they flame out the fastest because they consume themselves on their own energy. I think there are some lessons to be learned there in life and in politics. How quickly and how brightly we burn.”
Kirk traveled with President Obama on Air Force One today to Mesquite, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, and made the remarks to reporters on Air Force One.
The former Texas secretary of state ran for US Senate from Texas in 2002, losing to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.

Hahaha. Sounds like Mr. Kirk needs to go back to fourth grade science class.

LOL…LOL…I said two weeks ago that Perry was ‘toast’ and got laughed at. Perry is unelectable on the nationall stage. He only got away with that ‘bull in a china closet’ strategy because he was running for a “State” position in a State that he could ‘get away with’ that ‘good old boy approach’. He is trying the same ‘crap’ on a higher level…and that won’t fly with a more intelligent voting electorate. He is an ‘anathema’ to moderates….and reminds them of a less intelligent, unpolished “W”.

Ron Kirk gave a nice eulogy. Even though is had mixed metaphors and was unscientific.
