Bachmann on Cain: Great on Personality, Bad on Governing

Rep. Michele Bachmann has come out swinging with the strongest assault on GOP front-runner Herman Cain, since decade-old accusations of sexual harassment came to light last week.
“Everyone loves him. Who doesn’t? He has a great personality, but this is the leader of the free world we’re talking about,” Bachmann said in an interview with conservative radio host Scott Hennan, set to air Monday.
Bachmann did not specifically address the harassment charges, but instead attacked him on a series of inconsistencies in his positions on issues.
“I think the real problem is how inconsistent he’s been on the issues… There’s been 10 instances in the last month where he’s changed his position on significant issues. On the issue of pro-life, he said the government shouldn’t intervene to protect life then he switched and said, ‘no they shouldn’t.’”
Cain has been accused of changing, sometimes in the same interview, his stances on abortion, a Constitutional amendment that defines marriage between a man and a woman, and whether the United States should hypothetically swap imprisoned foreign terrorists for American hostages.
Bachmann has taken a similar tack in other recent interviews when asked about Cain, saying there are no “surprises” when it comes to her record.
Stingingly, she said when asked of Cain: “People are looking for an adult in the room.”

“On the issue of pro-life, he said the government shouldn’t intervene to protect life then he switched and said, ‘no they shouldn’t.’” ~~~~~~~~ Uh, where’s the switch here? Did ABC misquote Bachmann or Bachmann misquote Cain?

““People are looking for an adult in the room.” ~~~~~~~~~ If Bachmann thinks statements like this win her the high ground on maturity, she’s sadly mistaken.

It seems like she is piling on here. What has Mrs. Bachman actually Governed. Her message has stayed the same from the beginning of the he campaign up until now. She has eaaly added no substantive ideas. In addition, she cannot remain focus on a message.

GOP = control in your personal life and freedom for corporations.

Bachmann’s one goal is to stop the affordable healthcare act. Why? Because she is a typical self serving republican working to protect her faux religious based counseling clinic.

Miss Bachmann,We are closing schools, laying people off. Families are being foreclosed on and being put out in the streets. And all the Republicans running for President can talk about is who is Gay. We need to start looking at what is best for the country. We are not in high school any more. Hello!!! It is a good way to raise money. I think the Republicans have a “gay agenda”, more than the gay community has. They have nothing to say, so they go for the gay!

Michelle needs to go back to Minnesota and be ‘subservient’ to her closeted gay husband and really, stay the hell out of politics. Because she is singularly unsuited for the endeavor………

Which is why nobody is looking YOUR way, Michelle…………

Michelle Bachman is not the person I want in the oval office. Cain is honest about what he knows and what he doesn’t know. This tells me he is an honest and intellectual being. I like him, but would rather see Newt in the oval office and Herman as VP.

I’m offended by the adult in the room comment.

Stop with the lies ABC.
BTW, no one bought the accusations of accusations. by the anonymous.

Let us not forget that Mr. Bachmann will make an excellent Commander-In-Chief of our Armed Forces and will be able to fix this economy because he has raised 20-something kids, worked for the IRS and created no more than 50 jobs in her small business….she has the credentials of no other GOP candidate….Republicans please support this very qualified candidate……I am Barraak Oboma and I approve this message.

LOL! THAT is your beef here? Hilarious! FYI, if you were REALLY concerned about the missing part of the quote, you would take the 2 minutes it took ME to find the whole thing:
“I think the real problem is how inconsistent he’s been on the issues. Now this is significant. There has been 10 instances in the last month where he’s changed his positions on significant issues. On the issue of pro-life he said the government shouldn’t intervene to protect life and then he switched and said ‘no they should.’ He wasn’t for the marriage amendment, then he said he was. Then he said that he would allow the terrorists to go out of Guantanamo Bay. In other words he would release the terrorists. Then he changed his mind and said ‘no.’ He just said this week that China was developing a nuclear weapon. They’ve had one for 47 years. He said that 999 would be equitable and fair then he changed it to 9-0-9 after people called out his errors.”
Your silly complaint is because they left out the sentence ‘Now this is significant’. Gee, that really changes EVERYTHING about the article, doesn’t it…………….

I don’t care about the GOP infighting any longer.
After trillions of other people’s money spent by Obama, where are the friggin’ jobs?

Wow, that’s the pot calling the kettle black.
The Republican nominees should stop wasting time attacking each other and spend what little time is remaining telling us what their plans are to fix the problems.
If Cain has the best plan, I give a rat’s flying potato that he sold pizza’s for a living.
If any of the others have a better plan, then that’s who I’ll support.

This will ultimately become a two-person race between Perry and Romney. They are the only candidates who have the funds and the organization required to effectively compete until the end. Please look beyond the rhetoric and the media reports and RESEARCH THEIR RECORDS carefully.

I am not a Republican and I am not a fan of Michelle Bachmann. But if I were–as a woman, she would lose my support for making such a statement. How dare she–”looking for an adult in the room”. Wow-she’s trying to belittle Cain, not talk about actual issues. By the way–who would the ‘adult in the room’ be? Its definitely not her or any of the other GOP candidates: who argue amongst themselves about nonsense instead of focusing on REAL issues. I’m not a fan of Cain’s either; but at least he doesn’t act two-faced like this silly lady. When asked about the Cain controversy Friday she repeatedly said she had no comment; now she’s hurling insults. How does she have time for this? Who is watching all of her children while she’s out her talking non-stop about nothing? Or does she just consider kids to be toys that don’t require actual nurturing, like so many women in her position?? Loser. She is NOT presidential material.
