Herman Cain Tells Supporters ‘It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over, and It Ain’t Over’
MANCHESTER, N.H. – As nearly 50 supporters squeezed into his small, six-room headquarters here in New Hampshire, Herman Cain used the words of Yogi Berra to define the state of his campaign just two days after a woman named Ginger White came forward claiming to have engaged in a long-term affair with the presidential candidate.
“After that latest firestorm, there were some people that thought that I was finished, but I’m going to leave it with Yogi Berra’s comment: It ain’t over till it’s over, and it ain’t over yet,” Cain told supporters as they cheered him on.
Cain said his experience as a businessman has taught him the need to reassess a situation, giving only a timeline of the “next several days” until he makes a decision about how he will proceed with his campaign.
Cain told reporters in a media availability after the short speech that he is waiting to make his final decision about continuing with the presidential race until he sits down face to face with his wife on Friday to discuss the impact the latest allegations have had upon his family.
“Since I’ve been campaigning all week, I haven’t had an opportunity to sit down with her and walk through this with my wife and my family. I will do that when I get back home on Friday,” said Cain.
In what became a heated exchange between a reporter and the candidate, Cain was asked if he had even discussed the accusations with his wife.
“You haven’t sat down and discussed Ginger White with your wife yet?” the reporter asked.
“I have discussed this with my wife many times since Monday. You are making an accusation, quite frankly, that is not true,” Cain said. “Now are you going to be contentious or do you want me to answer the question? I have talked to my wife many times since Monday about this situation. … I have not talked to her face to face. That’s what I said. We have had many lengthy conversations. … This is another reason why that I am not going to make a decision until after we’ve talked face to face.”
Cain said campaign strategy, support from voters and fundraising are other factors he will reevaluate over the coming days. The businessman said fundraising dropped when the latest accusation was made on Monday, but since “this woman who has made these accusations has basically started to contradict herself, our fundraising is starting to go back up. It’s not up to the level of where it was, but a lot of people are saying – you know what? – they don’t believe it.”
Cain refused to characterize his relationship with White, answering a reporter’s question about her by simply discussing his 9-9-9 plan.
But while Cain said he’d reassess his campaign strategy, he did not deny that other accusations similar to the three that have been lodged against him so far might arise in the future.
“My career was in business for over 40 years,” he said. “I have worked with thousands of people. I can’t possibly say that someone won’t trump up another accusation. It just goes with the territory, so there’s no way that I can guarantee that some more ‘mess,’ as my grandmother would say, is going to come up.”

“LMAO!…” (An Extremely Childish and Long Name)
Keep right on laughing , or pretending to laugh through gritted teeth, because it definitely is all over for Obama in less than a year. He’ll be beaten like a drum. “hehehehe!…”

My bet is that he’s trying to somehow save face, and will try to quietly end the campaign on either this Friday or next. I don’t care about Cain, Romney, Perry, or Gingrich. They’re all “Counterfeit Conservatives”. The only true GOP candidate is Ron Paul, who fights for the people, not the corporations and Wall Street.
He voted against the corrupt “Patriot” Act, the unjust and undeclared Wars in the Middle East, and supports States rights, not an over-encroaching corrupt Federal government. He’ll also cut $1 Billion in one year, not ten years like everyone else is proposing. Ron Paul is the best hope for freedom and prosperity for America, and he’s the one who can beat Obama.

Probably Obama will get whipped pretty bad, even though I love him as much as ever just because i do, but i will have my new Hoveround and be more mobile by next November, so I don’t care all that much. For now, I’ll just laugh at Cain because it’s fun for me.

Recent polls show Herman Cain still far ahead of Michele Bachmann, Jon Huntsman, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, and Ron Paul.. This is America so the voters will decide next year. STAY IN THE RACE HERMAN CAIN!!!! You’re still at a close 3rd in the polls out of eight others and anything can happen between now and January… They want you to quit because you have a huge following of supporters they would like to inherit…. THE VOTERS WILL DECIDE….

I’m not one of Cain’s supporters, but don’t want him to quit or be forced out based on malicious gossip. He has been accused over and over again, but there has been no proof and he has not had the opportunity to face his accusers and determine the veracity of their accusations.

I agree with Ron Paul, entirely too much time is taken up addressing gossip rather than addressing the issues.

Is anyone running for president on the Democrat side? Like Barack Obama? You see, I’m still waiting for some in-depth reporting on Candidate Obama. Specifically, he needs to explain the history of his involvement in the following.
Solyndra, Beacon Power, cozying up to the lawbreakers of OWS, the much-vaunted stimulus package that was supposed to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent–but didn’t, Obamacare and CLASS, the screwing of the Chrysler bondholders, “shovel-ready” jobs that were not as shovel-ready as he hoped they’d be (he said with a chuckle), the NLRB and Boeing, failure to throw the book at the New Black Panther Party for Election Day misconduct, Operation Fast and Furious, the idiocy of attempting to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in federal court, nonsensical promises about Guantanamo, the infamous Apologizing for America tours…and on and on and on.
Anytime you’re ready, ABC. Or have you not noticed that Obama ALSO is running for office.

Mr. Cain, your own visions of grandeur have exposed your lovely and precious wife, if she did not already suspect or know, to the fact that you have spent what appears to be the better part of your marriage to her cheating on her. I hope, Sir, that at her age your wife will be able to survive the pain that must be like a knife stabbed into her heart to finally see just who you are and how you betrayed her. All for nothing, Sir. You never had a chance to be anything but the Koch brother’s joke on the GOP. I gasp to think of the true gentlemen from the GOP who have proceeded you with class and true dignaty yuou can only pretend to have.

Being accused of sexual misconduct by a married person is no laughing matter. Being innocent until proven guilty, here in America, should be reiterated here also. All of these “tee hees” are quite juvenile! Enough said!

You mean PRESIDENT Obama Jack? After all, he’s the one that you fools have been slinging mud at for four years, without ANY of it sticking. And why don’t you bring in the birth certificate too?
Even if you got any REAL story now, your “boy who cried wolf” reputation means no-one would take it seriously.

None of these accusations have anything to do with his potential as a viable candidate for President. Ronald Reagan was a film star. Mr. Cain is a viable candidate who – even if he doesn’t get the GOP nomination – will be able to do a lot for the country as part of the next Republican administration,

That’s alll this buffoon brought to the table. He was using this whole thing as a springboard to up his speaking fees when he’s selling his books and seminars. But like all idiots who begin to believe their own press (palin) he didnt know when to GET OFF THE STAGE.

If he keeps using the word “over”, then it’s over.
I was actually hoping that Cain gets elected, not because what he knows but because what he doesn’t know. He is completely ignorant of foreign policies therefore he is less likely to stick his nose in other country’s business. He probably will not start another invasion of Middle East if he doesn’t know what country is where. He may spend more time fixing domestic problems.

“Mr. Cain is a disgrace. He should just leave quietly.”
(Tyrone)
Just replace the word “Cain” with “Obama” and then you have it right.
But either quietly or with a bunch of whining and blaming everyone but himself, Obama the Absolute Failure will be leaving in disgrace next November.

All I know is this ‘Presidency’ gig draws some pretty strange characters out of the woodwork. Edwards, Gingrich, Cain, Clinton; and that’s not the complete list. We’re all human, but then again, we’re not all stabbing each other in the back trying to be president. It’s one thing to be able to take the heat, it’s another thing if all you’re ever doing is taking heat. These women just keep grabbing away the microphone.
Then there’s the foreign policy competency issue. He appears to just want to delegate the whole issue, but wait, he wants to be Commander in Chief and he doesn’t even know how Libya went down? Get it together man! No, on second thought, just get out, and thanks for playing.

Indeed. Obama has less than a year to damage the country further. Funny or sad? You choose.
And a further note: Obvious to all who have seen the film and even half understand it, Forrest Gump ends up very well-adjusted, very rich, and fairly happy, and with a beautiful son. He appears “slow” to some extremely mundane and shallow folks, but the film shows that he is wiser than them by far, in fact, the wisest character in the film. LOL.

It shouldn’t be over until there’s proof, anyway. The fact that there’s still none after all this time indicates this is probably a smear job of which the media is complicit. Some of you may think it odd, but I don’t trust Cain’s enemies to tell the truth.

Message to Mr. Cain…
You’ve been duped, the powers to be in the republican party (mostly the tea people) had you surge in the polls to prove that they are not racist while perpetuating the myth that most black men are un-faithful and ignorant. The problem is the scheme only works for their supporters.
Message to Mr. Cain’s supporters…
You’ve been taken on a great ride! Cain knew all along he wasn’t going to be the nominee but what a great avenue to sell my books to a bunch of idiot group of Americans. Didn’t Sarah Palin teach you guys anything.
Message to all…
Lets move on to the serious republican candidates with real conservative family values.
You still have…..
Flip-Flopper Mitt – Corporations are people too, healthcare mandate
Newt – Along with his illustrious affairs, millions of dollars in ties to Fannie and Freddie and illegal’s getting a pass
Rick Santorum – The man with no courage
Rick Perry – The man with no heart and no brain
Ron Paul – The man with no common sense
Michelle – The woman who knows nada about history
This should be an interesting 2012 political season.

-Lejaune, actually the President is the commander in chief of all military wings. Therefore it would be a great disaster for him to be in this position, why? because someone like him without very much knowledge about history and foreign policy would have no choice but to listen to his top generals and do exactly what they tell him. This is a dangerous scenario as we have seen in the past, I believe the President needs to have an opinion and great understanding of the world to make the final say in any conflict- he would be a puppet, and we would go on letting our Generals rule the country’s foreign policy. I believe he never had a chance for office because he spoke in a rhetoric manner, and most of the GOP voters find this dangerous. After the Bush debacle, GOP voters want a articulate speaker with understanding of the world- Cain just does not possess these traits. Not saying he is not educated- it’s just that this whole presidency thing is not his area of expertise. Plus he worked for the FED- this private corporation must end. That corp is the root of why average Americans are having their wealth transferred to the rich-

After giving much thought to these allegations, my opinion is that these women have been paid off by the DNC for the following reason: any person running for the highest office of President of the United States knows that every detail of his personal and public life will be scrutinized; and Mr Cain, having built up an impecible and outstanding reputation throughout his lifetime, is not someone who would lead a double life that he would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that his marriage, his family, and his life would be turned upside down, if these allegations proved to be true.
When someone makes false allegations about someone’s character, as these women have done, it seems that the only way to discover the truth of who is behind it all is to being these women into a judicial process whereby they would be deposed.
Herman Cain is a good man, undeserving of these outrageous allegations.
Posted by: Bob | December 1, 2011, 11:04 am 11:04 am
There are so many angles to this whole story that to me indicate all of these women are lying.
First is precisely as Bob above stated. Assuming Mr. Cain did do any of what he’s been accused of, why would he want the spotlight of a knowgling biased media? It makes far more sense that he had no reason to suspect any such accusations would be brought up because he didn’t do anything wrong.
Secondly so far every accuser who has come forward has been found to have some serious financial troubles. Bialek just got an eviction notice. White has been late on her rent every month this year to the point where her appartment complex has had to file with their lawyers EVERY MONTH.
Thirdly, where is the proof? 5 women over the course of nearly 20 years and no blue dress? No pictures of him half naked? No recorded phone calls? No sexually explicit text messages or rendesvous times? No reciepts for rooms paid with his credit card? No eye-witnesses of them entering a room together or her doing the “walk of shame”? NOTHING. If there WAS a single bit of proof the MSM would be shouting it from the rooftops as if it was the next Watergate.
Fouthly, President Obama has a clear history of using this tactic on his rivals and I wouldn’t be the least bit shocked to find out Mr. Axelrod is behind all of this.
Fiftly, Mr. Cain and Ms. Bialek unknowingly took a lie detector test based on vocal fluxuations and tone which has been proven to have 95% accuracy. It’s used in multiple police districts. Mr. Cain was found to be telling the truth while Ms. Bialek was found to be telling us lies. Mathematically that makes the probability of his side of the story being correct much higher than 95%.
Sixthly, why didn’t Bialek file charges? If it was sexual assault, why not have him arrested if you’re THAT upset about it? Not only that, but you basically continue to stalk him afterwards showing up at speaking engagements and insisting to go back stage? Any woman I know who would have had such an offense to them would have tried to avoid the man as much as possible, not try to be closer.
There are even more questions that SHOULD be asked and aren’t by the MSM. Instead they clearly have an agenda to take down any potential strong Republican opponent. They won’t go after Romney because in their eye’s he’s Obama lite. He got elected in a major liberal state afterall. So look out Newt. Your turn is coming.
