In Third TV Ad, Perry Stresses Farmer Roots, Military Background
Texas Gov. Rick Perry has ramped up his television advertising with a third ad that will air in Iowa starting Wednesday. The new ad, called “Values,” plays to Perry’s west Texas roots and his family’s career as farmers, along with touting his military background.
“As the son of tenant farmers from the west Texas town of Paint Creek, I learned the values of hard work, faith and family,” Perry reads in the TV spot.
The television ad features a photo of his sitting on a jet when he served in the Air Force along with old video of him with his father, Ray, and Perry playing the piano with his son, daughter and wife.
“I took those values with me when I served our country as a pilot in the Air Force.” Perry says. “I returned home to farm and ranch with my father and married my high school sweetheart. The values I learned served me well as governor of Texas, and will continue to guide me as president.”
The third ad is a deviation from Perry’s first two TV spots, which focused on his economic record in Texas. Perry began running television ads in Iowa two weeks ago and aired ads in New Hampshire one week ago. The campaign is also running radio ads in both states.

Joe Biden Recalls Death of Wife, Daughter
Truthfully, has Perry had a good physical in recent time. I am serious about that question……while some say he was a little tipsy during his publicized speech in New Hampshire, I reacted to it differently……was he having a “sugar high” or “low”……….I know one when I see one, and if not demon rum, how about an unknown medical situation?

I’m pretty sick of hearing the word “Values” tossed around by so many on the right when they hardly ever actually HAVE too many VALUES or practice much of what is REALLY said in the Bible! Phoney Hypocrites!!!!

Oh God, now Perry thinks he’s another Audey Murphy. Both George Bush and Perry got into the Texas National Guard to avoid Viet Nam and never saw a shot fired in anger. I have to give President Bush credit; he had some class and never used his military service to advance his popularity or gain votes.
And what the hell does being a farmer have to do with anything, so a coal miner, construction worker or janitor have different values. I drove a cab once, does that mean if I ran for president all cab drivers and anyone who’s ever ridden in a cab should vote for me? What planet are these republican candidates from,
