Bono and Alicia Keys on Bringing an End to AIDS

Today is World AIDS Day and we have an opportunity to celebrate a few important developments in the battle against this epidemic: deaths are down, a cure is in sight and better drugs are saving lives.

Just think about this statistic: In 2002 only 300,000 people were on antiretroviral treatments. In 2010 more than 6.5 million people are on the lifesaving medication.

I sat down with musicians Bono and Alicia Keys, who are heading to Washington, DC today to talk to Presidents Obama, Clinton and Bush about what’s next in the battle against AIDS.

“Take a look at my interview here.” Ummm…Hyper-ego much? Note that it doesn’t say “…the interview…” or even “…our interview…”? No, it’s *MY* interview. Ooooh. Look at me. I’m interviewing important people, aren’t I?
