Former Rep. Anthony Weiner and Wife Welcome Birth of a Son

Former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin welcomed the birth of their first child, Jordan Zain Weiner, on Wednesday.

The couple, who wed in 2010, has had a rough year. In June Weiner resigned from Congress in scandal after a story broke about risque online behavior Weiner had participated in with a series of women.

Abedin, a longtime aide to Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, gave birth 10 days before her December 31st due date. The baby weighed seven pounds.

Weiner and Abedin were married on Long Island in the summer of 2010. President Bill Clinton presided over the ceremony.
