More like it’s Gingrich who keeps trying to “reinvent” himself.

You wonder what Newt would have said when our forefathers were inventing the American people. Could someone remind me what country’s presidency Newt was running for? :-)

well, this should give anyone pause who may have had the slightest inclination to vote for this lunatic. this is a real smooth move – disregarding an ancient population as “invented” just because you don’t understand or accept where they come from and you want to make brownie points with israel and their supporters who vote. imagine, if you will, newt in the white house. how long do you think before he starts reinventing the world?

Newt is correct….they are just Arabs, Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians, Lebanese, there is no Palestinian people, no Palestinian culture, of course, now these Arabs have lived separated from their homeland for decades and Egypt and Jordan won’t take them back (Egypt and Jordan controlled that land)….and of course, the have been offered everything and turned it down. Newt is correct and people should understand the recent history.

Spewing such incendiary remarks makes Newt not only ignorant, but unqualified to deal with the middle East issues as president. Kissing up to the Jewish state, on the other hand, is not a qualification for the presidency of the United States

The only difference between them is religion. Religion is the central problem in 99% of the middle east’s problems.

This is exactly right. What “people” are Americans? The man is a pig who will say whatever he can to get attention.

In fact, the Quoran recognizes Abraham and Sarah, as well as other prominent figures who, alone among other people at the time recognized and espoused monotheism. Islam is also monotheistic, however, Muhammad’s efforts to have the Jews embrace Isam were rejected. Ever since then believers of Islam have considered Jws their enemy. As for Christianity, here again the Jews rejected all efforts of the Christians to accep;t Jesus as their Messiah, resulting in persecution of Jews throughout the world, wherever they fled since the Diaspora. Before the UN created the Jewish state the land was occupied by Jews, Arabs, and Christians of various sects. It still is. What the Palestinians fail to recognize,much less admit, that in all the time they occupied that bleak, barren patch if land, they did absolutely nothing to make it productive. Since the establishment of the State of Israel, and even before, Jews worked to make the desert bloom. Since becoming a nation Israel, in spite of being surrounded by envious enemies, has become highly productive, highly educated popuation. The very sad situation is that almost all the people now occupyin the Middle East are Semites. Instead of developing the West Bank and Gaza, the so-called Palestinians have sunk all their available assets into developing military might for the sole purpose of destroying the State of Israel. If they did a 180 and began supporting their population and economic development, they might even,some day, resurrect the Golden Age of Islam, before the Crusades.

A landmark genetic study in 2000 proved this…. there is no PHYSICAL difference, speaking genetically, between the two populations.

This same study (conducted by scientists in the US, Europe, and Israel) confirmed that the Jews had come OUT of Palestine, beginning in roughly 556 B.C.

Prior to that, they were ALL one people (not “Arabs” and “Jews”). They remain so. And the land called Palestine has been inhabited by these people for over 5 thousand years. If ANYTHING, it is more accurate to say that the JEWS were an “invented people”.

Religon, culture, and politics are the only things which divide them into “different people”.

Newt’s grasp of history, be it American or Middle-Eastern, is tenuous at best. And we don’t need another President who bases his Middle-East policy on the Bible and an apocolyptic world view.

Apparently, what a LOT of people do not seem to understand is whether or not Newt is technically correct is totally irrelevant. That is because of the fundamental reality that the concepts of BOTH race and culture are artificial social constructs that people invent just to make it easier to categorize themselves and others into different groups. Tragically, the most common use for identifying others is to make it easier to rationalize exploiting and oppressing them.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however not their own facts. Israelis are not only transplanted Jews who settled from Eastern Europe or some other area to find religious freedom. Jews have lived on those lands for many thousands of years and there are thousands of years of Jewish history. Newt was historically correct but not politically correct. There are Arab Israelis that live a good life in Israel. No one forced Arabs to leave, but when all of the surrounding Arab countries surrounded Israel and waged war to destroy the Jewish state, the Arabs (or Palestinian Arabs- all residents on that land- Arab or Jew were refered to as Palenstinians until the land was renamed Israel.) fled the land and planned on returning once all of the Jewish people in the new State of Israel were killed. Jews from the Arab countries were expelled or fled to live in their Jewish homeland. (Iranian Jews, Iraqi Jews, etc.) Generations of Jews also lived in the “disputed” land. One question I would ask those who think the Jewish people stole the land and pushed out a people. Who was the Palestinian King or president and what was their form of government? They were under Arab rule of Trans Jordan. They didn’t rule themselves, they had no organization or form of government, so they technically were not a separate people or a country. Listen carefully when the Palestinian Arabs speak of “occupied” land. They refer to the entire State of Israel in Arabic- not just the West Bank or Gaza. There needs to be two counties, Israel and a Palestine, side by side living in peace and prosperity-if only the more radical Islamic factions would permit that to be a reality!

If the Palistinians don’t like Gingrich – I am voting for Gingrich and so will my friends. 1948 was NOT a mistake, it was the fulfillment of a prophesy.

It does not matter Gingrich is right. We ready to give back the USA to the Native Americans? They were here first, we are a fictitious country according to Newt. In fact all countries I guess are fictitious if you go back far enough. What a stupid argument and what an idiot thing to say. Gingrich has put his foot in his mouth. Ignorance is when someone will take a slug at a person with out knowing what they’re fighting against! Newt talks like Bush. Bush had no diplomatic skills and got us into a war with the Arab nation. Newts diplomacy is tactless and will create more attacks on our shores.
That’s one thing. As far as Newt and all the others seem to think is that excercise will help people with incurable diseases like Cancer, Muscular Distrophy, Epilepsy, Aids,(to name a few). That’s the issue that people,(myself included), want some answers for. What do we do when our medication is no longer available?

There never was any ethnic group within the arab community known as Palestinians – just as there were no Indian Muslim known as Pakistani. India was partitioned to give a section of Indian Muslims their Pakistan, an invented word meaning Land of the Pure. Today Purity has meant there are only 2% Hindus Sikhs, & Christians there in Pakistan. While British India could be broken up, but a tiny Israel of 7 million has been unacceptable to Islamic Palestinians. Millions of Hindus Sikhs were displaced from what now is Pakistan, but NO one turned terrorist to claim it back.
