WALNUT, Iowa- Rick Santorum, who bragged just yesterday that he hasn't received "a penny" in PAC money, is getting a $200,000 boost in Iowa from a SuperPAC.

The Red, White, and Blue Fund is spending $200,000 on ads in this state touting Santorum.

The ad calls him the "true conservative" in the race and a "visionary who saw the threat of radical Islam and a proven reformer who took on Washington and won."   Here's the ad:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1l9igJewf0

The ads are being produced by SRPC media. The birth of the RWB fund means that now each of the seven GOP candidates will have, or have at one point had, the backing of at least one SuperPAC.

Santorum had previously been the only candidate in field without one. Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Ron Paul,  Jon Huntsman, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich have each had one (in some cases more than one) form in support of their campaigns.

Santorum has been barnstorming the state for months hoping hard work will pay off on Jan. 3, but going up on the air will undoubtedly help. He got a rousing welcome at an abortion forum and film premiere last and as recently as Wednesday he said at a campaign stop in Des Moines that he's running the leanest campaign out of all of his opponents saying he doesn't think he has "received one dollar in PAC money, not a penny."

"Not that I haven't asked, but nobody has sent me any," Santorum said. "I can go into this race as the least funded candidate who went out and talked to the people of Iowa and ran a grassroots campaign and the people of Iowa spoke to who they want to lead the country."   The organization has filed with the FEC, and they are based out of Alexandria, Va.
