Jon Huntsman may be lagging in the polls, but his three 20-something daughters are breakout stars of the 2012 election cycle.

The girls - Mary Anne, 26, Abby, 25, and Liddy, 23, have become something of an Internet sensation, currently amassing over 17,000 followers on Twitter.

Now, the girls have revealed an unexpected tie to Kim Kardashian, by way of her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Kris Humphries.

In an interview with GQ magazine, youngest daughter Liddy revealed that her eldest sister, Mary Anne, went on a date with Humphries back when he played basketball for the Utah Jazz.

"They saw 'Elf'; Humphries bought a bucket of popcorn the size of a garbage can," the article reads. "Mary Anne never heard another thing about him until he turned up on E!, dating a reality-TV queen."

Humphries and Kardashian were married on Aug. 20. Their wedding special was broadcast on E! They filed for divorce just 72 days later.
