ABC News’ Brian Johnson and Devin Dwyer report:

America’s first couple of Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, was spotted by ABC New at the White House Wednesday.

Jolie and Pitt met with President Obama in the Oval Office where they could be seen posing for a photo together in front of his desk.

The two have been in Washington to screen Jolie’s new movie about Bosnia war crimes that premiered at the Holocaust museum Tuesday night.

“President Obama spoke with Ms. Jolie about her work to raise the profile of preventing mass atrocities and combating sexual violence against women,” said White House spokeswoman Jamie Smith.

Brad and Angelina are not Hollywoods first couple! You are so wrong about that.

Hollywood Obama and all he cares about is how the celebs who think we are all stupid will help him get elected. These people where no bodies and in some cases down right stupid and they have all the answers. Oh yes the 18 19 and 20 year olds will vote for him because their favorite star is without looking over the cliff before they jump. You watch’ in a few weeks the ad campain will come out with these people in them. Why don’t we all just go on a Rosie Cruise and sing Barney songs.

Angelina Jolie just happens to be a Goodwill Ambassador for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which was established on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly. Rude comments are so inappropriate and unnecessary.

Accomplishments aren’t important to right wingers; they seem to simply like to spew their own insults and ignorance. An embarrassment to the country.

DAVE, What accomplishments have democrats made, besides ruining the housing industry, sending our manufacturing jobs to third world countries, giving money to acornie for prostitutes, making us pay for abortions in Africa and giving 500 million to a failing solar company!

* Over the past 12 months, health care employment has grown by 299,000
* Employment in retail trade has increased by 228,000 since a recent low in December 2009
* Manufacturing has added 289,000 jobs since its most recent trough in December 2009, and durable goods manufacturing added 327,000 jobs during this period
* Employment in mining has increased by 140,000 since a recent low in October 2009
* Employment in professional and technical services continued to trend up in July. This industry has added 246,000 jobs since a recent low in March 2010.

All figures from Bureau of Labor Statistics (August 5, 2011)

And since then the economy has done nothing but add more jobs, including over 400,000 over the past three months. The President’s approach has completely turned around the economic disaster under the Republican Bush.

The privileged meet the privileged. It contines. And soon another member of the millionaire club will vie for his job. Irregardless of party affiliation we are inconsequential.

Why did the Democrats let it happen, including 0bama who was in the Senate at the time. They just sat by and let all this happen? They had the House and the Senate, but they just watched it all happen and did nothing?

As early as 2006, top advisers to Mr. Bush dismissed warnings from people inside and outside the White House that housing prices were inflated and that a foreclosure crisis was looming. And when the economy deteriorated, Mr. Bush and his team misdiagnosed the reasons and scope of the downturn; in February 2008, for example, Mr. Bush was still calling it a “rough patch.”

The result was a series of piecemeal policy prescriptions that lagged behind the escalating crisis.

“There is no question we did not recognize the severity of the problems,” said Al Hubbard, Mr. Bush’s former chief economics adviser, who left the White House in December 2007. “Had we, we would have attacked them.”

Interesting how ABC cut out my post? Bias? most likely. What I said AGAIN is nothing new here…Clinton was constantly schmoozing with Hollywood…why? they have tons of money and are primarily liberal. The part they probably didn’t want people to see is this… my brother has worked in Hollywood for over 30 years and told me the Hollywood elite would brag about renting rooms in the White House JUST so they could brag about having xxx (ABC didn’t like my other word) in the White House . This country is going down the tubes and time for me to leave… see ya (or not) in Central America!

Obama and Jolie/Pitt are truly concerned citizens. Some things are true and sincere – let’s not ascribe a cynical motive to everything! This is NOT a PHOTO op!

But why did the Democrats let it happen? You post the usual left-wing talking point. For being as smart as they claim to be, including 0bama who was in the Senate at the time, why did they just let all this happen? They had the House and the Senate, but they just watched it all happen and did nothing?

The rest of us have to stand in line and take the tour. The RICH own this Country and we all stand back and oooh and ahhhh over them while the do.

I see people who hardly own or have anything themselves give ALL OF IT to help others. I know people who live in a 4 room house with hardly any room for them and their Children, but they find a way to fit another family in it because they have no where to stay…. These people have MILLIONs (including our President), and they give a VERY VERY VERY SMALL percentage of their time and money to help others compared to the people I have just talked about who give ALL THEY HAVE to help others… where are their INVITE to the WHITEHOUSE? A picture with the President?? A little something for their time and what they give??

Posted by: anotherday | January 11, 2012, 11:34 pm 11:34 pm

Why didn’t the OWS go the White House to protest both the Jolie Pitts and Obama – who is also a 1%er with 5 million dollars net worth.

Anything they do is with our tax dollars – which is a shame. We shouldn’t be paying for any foreign aid..with our own hungry and homeless population.

The housing bubble had already peaked in May 2006 and housing prices had begun their collapse by July of 2008, months before the Democrats took the Congress.

What exactly is it you though they should have done?

TYPO CORRECTION:

The housing bubble had already peaked in May 2006 and housing prices had begun their collapse by July of 2006, months before the Democrats took the Congress. Some put this turn around even as early as the last quarter of 2005, over a year before the Democrats took the Congress.

What exactly is it you though they should have done?

Gee “Dave” in another thread “Jim” posted the same quote word for word along with your same Fun with Numbers.
We all are very excited about Barry running on his record this year.

2012 Vote ABO for President.

Both Pitt and Jolie make far more than any CEO and to make matters worse they do very little to earn their money and employee no one, yet the hypocritical left gives them and Oprah and athletes a free pass. Scum-balls!!!

So according to your left heavy time line the collapse started just before the Demos took control of Congress in 2007 and then they saw the disaster unfolding and did nothing, Obama included. That is until the economy was really tanking and then Bushie applied his TARP Bandaid.
After Barry took office he saw how bad the economic disaster was and got busy passing an unconstitutional health care bill and spent a ton of money which made us weaker and insured an extremely weak to non-existant recovery.

I guess I see your point Jamie but I’m baffled as to why a pro NoBo person would post it.

Yeah, if you’re not very bright and haven’t done any research Noz. The housing bubble came into being AND collapsed under a majority Republican congress with a Republican president. There now, let’s blame it on the Democrats shall we? Sure, that’ll work . . .

“The housing bubble came into being AND collapsed under a majority Republican congress with a Republican president.” – Jim

Wrong
The Housing bubble got started under the Clinton Administration.
The collapse ended under Demo rule.
Of course, Bush, during his RINO phase, amplified the problem by enhancing the really bad Liberal/Progressive idea that even poor people should be able to buy a house.
