Obama Campaign Offers Ringtone of President Singing Al Green Classic; Majority Still Feels Times Aren't Good, They're Bad, Not Happy, They're Sad
President Obama's Thursday rendition of the Rev. Al Green's " Let's Stay Together" is now available as a ring tone, courtesy of the Obama 2012 campaign.
The president sang the first few words of the soul classic at a campaign fundraising stop last week at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.
The announcement was made by "Barack Obama" on his twitter feed just now: "@BarackObama: Something fun for Monday morning-the President singing Al Green every time your phone rings. Download the ringtone: http://OFA.BO/tLYwcW ."
"I'm…." the president sang, to the delight of the crowd of 1,400 supporters, "so…in love with you…."
The president of course hopes that his supporters stay with him, loving him "whether times are good or bad, happy or sad."
Polls indicate that a majority of Americans think times aren't good, they're bad, they're not happy, they're sad. An ABC News/Washington Post poll finds 68 percent of Americans believe the nation is on "the wrong track." Fifty-one percent disapprove of the president's handling of the economy.
