Snoop Dogg for Ron Paul?

Did Snoop Dogg (born Calvin Cordozar Broadus) endorse GOP candidate Ron Paul for president?
Well, sort of. The rapper posted a photo of Paul on his Facebook page Sunday with the headline “Smoke Weed Everyday.” The caption of the photo reads a simple “Because I said so.” Broadus, an outspoken marijuana enthusiast, is no stranger to drug-related charges. His most recent arrest for alleged possession occurred earlier this month in Sierra Bianca, Texas.
One user commented: “Thank you Snoop!!!! We need more people like you to stand up for freedom.”
“Substance,” interjected another. “What Ron Paul speaks and Snoop Dog smokes!!! Ron Paul/Snoop Dog in 2012!”
Snoop Dogg’s quasi-endorsement of Paul is presumably because of the candidate’s maverick stance on marijuana and drug policy. During his years in the House of Representatives, Texan Paul has co-authored and signed multiple marijuana-friendly bills that pushed the drug’s decriminalization.
The GOP candidate was a co-sponsor of the States’ Right to Medical Marijuana Act and supported the Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act of 2008. In June 2011, Paul paired up with Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., in June to support the Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act, which would allow states to delegate their own laws regarding the drug.
The rapper isn’t the only celebrity to voice his support for Paul. The presidential hopeful has also received endorsements from Kelly Clarkson, Vince Vaughn and Barry Manilow.

Oliver Stone and John Mayer also endorsed Ron Paul. An America that isn’t corrupt is starting to finally make sense to people.

1) Paul wants to decriminalize marijuana and to dial back the worst excesses of the failed, trillion dollar drug war.
2) Paul has worked to crack down and fully audit the Federal Reserve which is directly responsible for the U.S. debt, the perpetual deficits, and the advancement of the welfare/warfare state
3) Paul wants to actually cut a $1 trillion dollars from the Federal budget unlike other GOP candidates who only want to trim baselines of expected spending increase for the next 20 years
4) Paul wants to reduce an out of control US Defense budget that actually exceeded $1 trillion in 2010 when you include “off budget” items and other categories of “defense” spending like Homeland Security, Veteran Affairs, NASA, Energy Dept not covered in the Pentagon budget
5) Paul is against the NDAA, the indefinite detention of US citizens and which the writ of habeas corpus — a civil right so fundamental to Anglo-American common law history that it predates the Magna Carta — is voidable upon the command of the President
6) Paul is against SOPA, the so-called online piracy act but actually an Internet death penalty that allows the Attorney General to disappear websites
7) Paul voted against the Patriot Act including warrantless surveillance and forcing companies to turn over information on citizens’ finances, communications and associations
8) Paul is against the Obama administration’s use GPS devices to monitor every move of targeted citizens without securing any court order or review
9) Paul believes the 50 states should be laboratories for democracy. If a state wants to legalize drugs, prostitution or gay marraige, it should be up to the people of that state and not the Federal government
10) Paul is against the right of Obama or any president to assassinate US citizens without due process
11) Paul is against the militarization of US police forces and the record amount of no knock raids by SWAT on non violent suspects

Prohibition is overwhelmingly responsible for an immense increase in organized crime, international terrorism, rampant official corruption, a broken economy, mass unemployment and a serious undermining of international security and development.
Corporate greed and individual bigotry have accelerated us towards a situation where all the usual peaceful and democratic methods, which can usually be employed to reverse such acute damage, no longer function as our founders intended. Such a political impasse coupled with our great economic tribulation is precisely that which throughout history has often ignited extreme social upheaval and violent revolution.
“To function as the founders intended, our republic requires that the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”
– Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to William Stephens Smith, November 13, 1787
Fortunately we are left with one last peaceful avenue for change – Jury Nullification.
Jury Nullification is a constitutional doctrine that allows juries to acquit defendants who are technically guilty but do not deserve punishment. – All non-violent ‘drug offenders’ who are not selling to children – be they users, dealers or importers – clearly belong in this category.
If you sincerely believe that prohibition is a dangerous and counter-productive policy then you must stop helping to enforce it. When it comes to acquittals, you, the juror, have the very last word!
* It only takes one juror to prevent a guilty verdict.
* You are not lawfully required to disclose your voting intention before taking your seat on a jury.
* You are also not required to give a reason to the other jurors for your position when voting – just simply state you find the accused not guilty.
We must create what we can no longer afford to wait for – PLEASE VOTE TO ACQUIT!
