A week ago it looked like Mitt Romney would roll to victory here and tie up all three early preference states. But then Iowa recounted and found that Romney's 8 vote margin was incorrect. Rick Santorum actually won by 34 votes. And Newt Gingrich had two strong debate performances and has surged in public opinion polls.

Ron Paul, meanwhile, is focusing on states like Minnesota and Nevada, which hold their party preference contests early next month.
