Todd Palin Endorses Newt Gingrich

ABC News’ Santina Leuci and Z. Byron Wolf report:

Sarah Palin’s husband is endorsing Newt Gingrich for president, Todd Palin told ABC News today.

But Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and John McCain’s 2008 Republican running mate, has yet to decide “who is best able to go up against Barack Obama,” Todd Palin said.

Palin said he has not spoken to Gingrich or anyone from the former House speaker’s campaign. But he said he respects Gingrich for what he went through in the 1990s and compared that scrutiny in public life to what Sarah Palin went through during her run for the vice presidency.

Todd Palin said he believes that being in the political trenches and experiencing the highs and lows help prepare a candidate for the future and the job of president.

He did not criticize any of the other candidates and said his “hat is off to everyone” in the Republican race.

But Todd Palin did point to last summer, when a large portion of Gingrich’s staff resigned and the candidate was left, largely by himself, to run the campaign.

Gingrich’s ability to overcome the obstacle and still move up in the polls showed his ability to campaign and survive, according to Todd Palin, who said Gingrich is not one of the typical “beltway types” and that his campaign has “burst out of the political arena and touched many Americans.”

The fracture of the GOP Establishment has begun in earnest. (Long overdue)

I totally agree with Todd…

If memory serves, McCain had the same problem. Is losing yr campaign staff the Republican equivalent to having an affair with Marxism?

Newt is the ONLY candidate that genuinely scares team Barry

Posted by: wild palms | January 9, 2012, 1:12 pm 1:12 pm

Newt Gingrich is the best conservative to undo the damage the bum organizer Obama has done with his transformation of America to a Bum Nation. Obama has grown the power of the bum class, the takers, and he’s organized them to gain control of the government to power their taking obsessions.

Newt can teach the newest generation of the merits, virtue, and sustainability of conservatism, a philosophy that provides the most for the most and the opportunity for all to achieve their life’s ambitions in an atmosphere of freedom and liberty defended by our federal government.

I do not think this article is news. No one cares who this guy endorses. I am not a Romney fan but this is article is not reporting anything information that is valuable. It reminds me of most Yahoo news stories.

THIS IS **NOT** NEWS! What this clown has to say is less viable than some random schmo on the street.

How gives a 2 foot crap about this guy. Todd shut up

Posted by: hugh jassol | January 9, 2012, 1:17 pm 1:17 pm

I promise, if Newt is the selection, it will be a replay of McCain. Love Sarah, but I just don’t get why the GOP doesn’t understand, WE ARE TRYING TO THROW THE BUMS OUT! We do not want more of the ‘same ole’ people. We are tired of the beltway and I can’t figure out how the GOP isn’t learning from the last election. If you were in there, we voted you OUT! Ron Paul’s international thoughts scare the dickens out of me, but it’s only Newt that I proclaim, “I will not go to the polls AGAIN if he’s our selection.” There’s only been ONE, notice that…ONE candidate to bring up the NDAA, National Defense Authorization Act, and that was Ron Paul.
In a perfect world, someone other than Paul, Newt or Romney. (McCain endorsed Romney, so I won’t show up there either). Why can’t Santorum, Huntsman, Perry, bring up the Constitutional catastrophes that are facing us? If any of those 3 did, I’d be putting a sign in my yard and be online T.H.I.S. moment to make a contribution.

Do we seriously care what TODD PALIN thinks? What a joke…

Posted by: jd | January 9, 2012, 1:17 pm 1:17 pm

Who the heck cares! Todd Palin??? On that note, who did Kim Kardashian endorse? Please. Romney’s going to win every state and then beat Obama by 8% pts. Newt has ZERO chance and may end up with ZERO delegates.

Posted by: Ted K | January 9, 2012, 1:19 pm 1:19 pm

Newt is scary.

Posted by: Anthony | January 9, 2012, 1:20 pm 1:20 pm

Something is up with Sarah…. I can feel it. And now Todd Palin has just endorsed Newt.

I think Sarah is gunning for a run at the eleventh hour. She will jump into the race just before the RNC is ready to annoint establishMitt Romney as its media-endorsed king. Then all hell will break loose. It would be a brilliant maneuver – history-making in its execution, and the rallying cry for true Constitutional conservatives and ordinary Americans who seek to take their country back.

I would not want to play poker with this woman

Posted by: Autoamerican | January 9, 2012, 1:21 pm 1:21 pm

Newt’s the man. McCain’s vision got into Romney’s head. It’s become crossover to McCain’s views Romney time…….. A vote for Romney is now a vote for John McCain, again………….

Posted by: MadCharles | January 9, 2012, 1:25 pm 1:25 pm

Ted K – you are correct. Newt is very scary- to Obama…..

Todd is endorsing someone who Cheats on his wives. Interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who cares who this guy endorses. Todd Palin? Who the heck is that?

Posted by: Bilby Balboa | January 9, 2012, 1:31 pm 1:31 pm

This is Sarah’s clue that she is supporting Newt!!! The day before the NH primary – no coincidence. Newt is the anti RINO! He is the one we need “for this time.”

Posted by: sallybe | January 9, 2012, 1:33 pm 1:33 pm

Really, who cares what Todd “my wife brings home our bacon” Palin endorses or thinks, the same goes for any of these losers like Sarah “take you cash and run” Palin. It gets a bit desperate when they are boasting the partners of political antagonists!

Posted by: Jim Nicastro | January 9, 2012, 1:34 pm 1:34 pm

Another reason not to vote for Newt.

Posted by: Danielle | January 9, 2012, 1:34 pm 1:34 pm

Why do people care what Todd Palin endorse? He’s not a politician, he’s not in the media. Did Sarah Palin pay someone to report this so-called NEWS?

Posted by: John | January 9, 2012, 1:35 pm 1:35 pm

Why would anyone care what Todd thinks?

Posted by: Strider | January 9, 2012, 1:36 pm 1:36 pm

Well TODD he went through all that because he was a cross between a snake and a cockroach who tried to scurry/slither to the “middle ground” as soon as he thought he had a chance at the 2006 presidential nomination. He stabbed the freshmen Republicans in the back in 1996 because they were holding his feet to the fire regarding his conservative small government promises.

I have just lost ALL FAITH in the Palins…too bad…really too bad!

Posted by: Tyrone | January 9, 2012, 1:46 pm 1:46 pm

The GOP has already lost this election. They all decided to take a dump on the constitution and smear Ron Paul. His voters won’t forget, and they aren’t voting for globalist Gingrich.

The comment by AUTOAMERICAN | JANUARY 9, 2012, 1:21 PM is the funniest thing I’ve read today.

The Palinbots are STILL holding out hope that their idol is going to “make a run”, despite the total lack of interest in her in Iowa last week even after the pleading “Earthquake” ad.

They’re still imagining that this is some kind of three dimensional chess game Sarah Palin is playing, and that she’s more clever than Newt Gingrich. Or Karl Rove. Yeah, she proves that every time she shows up on Fox News in a new wig and lip-glossed smirk, and tosses her patented word salad that no one but a diehard Palinbot can understand.

Posted by: KarenJ | January 9, 2012, 1:50 pm 1:50 pm

Todd Palin opinion matters as much as the Lib masses wished it didn’t. Newt was a better candidate than McCain last election. Its just finally coming around that although financially Newt has had some shortcomings in comparison to the rest of the field, he has dominated in the debates and working with the grassroots over the years finding solutions to get this country back on track. Reganite, hell yes,Newt is going to give Obama fits in debates and on the campaign trail. Go NEWT!!

Why is it nescesary to report anything that comes out of the Palins mouths? Does anybody really think that they do anything for the US besides raise money for them selves, Slime their way back into public eye, and pedle their purposeless books, not to mention their ridicuols followers grabing at straws for any relevancy to what comes out of their mouths. Maybe the Palins need more money? Can anybody help? Sorry Santina but you and I both Know that this story was the crap end of the stick as far as blogging goes

Newt to turn around the “Has Baggage” charge to an an asset do this.
Carry a Travel Bag with wheels and big letters that say “BAGAGE” on it. Then with the news cameras rolling calmly stop and unzip the bag, pull out a large placard with a Big Idea printed on it, hold it up to the camera and simply say in a loud voice ” THIS IS MY BAGGAGE” Do this a few time or every day until the election and you will win.
Anyone out there who can Please get this Idea to Newt I don’t have connections. Or satureate Face Book till he gets it.

Wow, another clueless member of the Palin family telling the USA what THEY think. Who GIVES a bleep! As for John McCain: With every passing day, I’m very THANKFUL that he did NOT win the election in 2008. Did anyone hear him up on the podium speaking for Romney last week???? He’s completely LOST IT! And with him losing it as President, we COULD have ended up with a TOTAL DIMWIT named Sarah Palin. It is TRUE that God is watching over the USA!!!

Posted by: demNme5 | January 9, 2012, 2:24 pm 2:24 pm

My two cents. Like it or not in the end conservatives and republicans will coalese around Mitt Romney because in the end he is the best man to go up against Obama. What wrong with people’s is the thinking that Obama is a broken President and can be beat and or will be beat easily so we don’t have to have that strong a candidate. WRONG. From all I read Romney carries basically Romneycare and his is rich into the debate as baggage. People that say Gingrich is the best man evidently know nothing about the baggage he carries that would be fodder for the liberal media and Obama in a general elections. AND what sorry reasons given by Todd Palin in endorsing Gingrich.

Posted by: j. santos | January 9, 2012, 2:25 pm 2:25 pm

Everyone needs to realize and remember that Newt is the one who can get things done. He has the most practical ideas and the intellect to succeed. obama would look like the community organizer that he is when compared to Newt. As for Todd Palin, the ones who asked who he was obviously are very shallow in their thinking.

Hate to break the news here, but our party’s leadership has decided that Mitt will be our nominee. So all of you Newt and or Ron Paul fans had better get your heads around that. As far as the Tea Party is concerned, they had better learn pretty quickly who needs whom. You see how Bachmann was dealt with. So keep your mouths closed, and support Mitt, so he can use his money for the General and not have to fight out a primary. In the end, the Party has selected Mitt.

Posted by: Billtmo | January 9, 2012, 2:36 pm 2:36 pm

After reading the comments, I thought I accidentally landed on a Fox site. What a bunch of dopes. Gingrich is the most “inside the beltway” person there is and the repubs want to have him as president? There seems to be no common sense left. You want to throw the old boys out and yet you think ypu want one of the worst “old boys” back in. Have you not read anything about his deals, money gathering as a lobbyist (yes, it was lobbying), lack of morals or empathy?

Hey Billtmo, Romney = Obama and Obama = Romney.

In fact Romney has taken more money from Wall Street then any other candidate including Obama. He is a serial hypocrite and a status quo shill. A vote for him is a vote for every failed policy of the past 30+ years.

Posted by: BloominIdiots | January 9, 2012, 2:51 pm 2:51 pm

ya’ see, the brainwashed masses swallow and wipe their chin when they listen to the lies about Willard Mitt Romney being the only one who can go against Obama and win. NOTHING could be further from the truth. Romney is a corporate raider who is going to be destroyed by the democrats if he gets the Republican Nomination. Gingrich is the ONLY candidate who could defeat Obama and the knuckleheads out there can’t see that.

Posted by: Joe-it-all | January 9, 2012, 2:55 pm 2:55 pm

So Todd Palin is being used by his wife to endorse Gingrich, what a real man he is.
Now for serious business all the Republicans should stop attacking each other and focus on OBAMA
Attack Obama and vote him out

Posted by: Hondo1776 | January 9, 2012, 3:01 pm 3:01 pm

Obama wants Romny to be the nominee, who can be easily defeated since Obama care was devoloped based on Romney care in Mass & we should not complain.Media also favoring Romney. Debates sponsered by CBS, NBC are jokes without a single question onthe Deficit, health care&economy. Contraception was important topic in the debate! We need a real conservative to be the nominee like Gingrich, or Santorum

Where is the direct quote from Todd Palin? I don’t believe this story. Unless there is a direct quote from Mr. Palin saying that he is endorsing Mr. Gingrich, it is just gossip on the part of ABC – more than likely trying to play head games. Give us a video, phone
call, or a direct quote so we know if this is really true. Come on ABC, stop playing games. Anyone with any common sense at all would not believe this story without some proof it is true and you don’t show any in this story.

I didn’t see a quote in the article where he said he was endorsing anybody. He was basically offering some complimentary comments about Newt, but did not state, “I am officially endorsing Gingrich”. Big difference.

Ray Williams, great idea on the suitcase for Newt’s baggage, except inside should be lists of the unemployment figures, the debt, all the pages and pages of EPA and IRS and Obamacare and other government regulations, etc. Newt can say the only baggage that concerns him is what Obama is weighing the country and the economy down with.

Newtacuda 2012!

America LOVES the Palin family and I’ve been holding back my support until I learned who Sarah was supporting. Figured it would be Newt (one of her 2 most admired politicians according to her book – Reagan the other) or possibly Santorum.

Until I hear from Sarah herself I’ll listen to Todd’s advice and support NEWT.

Who truly cares who Todd Palin endorses. My fifth cousin twice removed on my maternal side who happens to live in Alaska just endorsed Obama…

WHY IS THIS NEWS?

Posted by: Joe Democrat | January 9, 2012, 4:01 pm 4:01 pm

Wow: Palin is overlooking Newt’s serious baggage: (1) Corruption: e.g., a $1.6 million in kickbacks from Freddie Mac for favors received (2) Ethical breaches: $300K fines for ethics violations from his own colleagues (3) Dishonorable character, e.g., multiple betrayals of each of his wives (4) Hypocrisy: e.g., attacked Clinton’s adultery, while Newt secretly conducted his own affairs. Finally, people that worked with and for Gingrich, seem to despise the guy. This tells us more about Palin’s lack of judgment than anything.

Posted by: SeattleMark952 | January 9, 2012, 4:07 pm 4:07 pm

We’ve done massive homework on all these guys and had all the doubts (and mythology!) about Newt that I see here. Go do your research: The Hospital Myth, the Ethics Charge Myth, the Fannie May/Freddie Mac Myth, etc. The truth is Newt has stood up for us over the last 25 years! He is the reason Welfare Reform passed. He got a balanced budget almost singlehandedly. He went thru that stage of “trying to compromise,” but HE IS OVER THAT! He knows the score, just like you and I do. I have done more homework on this than anyone I know. PLEASE, for the love of your country’s future, give Newt your vote tomorrow. BTW, I’m not working for him in any official capacity, nor am I one of his official volunteer corps (“corpse” as Obama would say).

IT IS SAD TO SAY THAT REPUBLICANS ARE FRAGMENTED LIKE THE COMPUTER HARD DRIVE. WHY? LOOK AT IOWA CAUSUSES, ROMNEY JUST GOT 24% ALMOST TIED WITH SANTORUM. IF THE PERCENTAGE OF ROMNEY VOTERS WILL BE THE SAME IN NH, SC AND FL, THESE INFORMATION WILL CLEARLY BE THE GAGE THAT REPUBLICANS ARE WEAK AND DIVIDED. AS OF THIS TIME, I CAN SAY, OBAMA WOULD STILL HAVE ANOTHER 4 YEARS..LIKE IT OR NOT!! IF ROMNEY WILL GET 55% IN NH, FL, SC AND OTHERS,,THEN OBAMA NOW SHOULD THINK TWICE. RIGHT NOW, REPUBLICANS ARE DIVIDED AND WEAKLING. I MYSELF AS A REPUBLICAN IS CONFUSED AMONG THE CURRENT FIELD. I WANT SOMEBODY WHO IS CHARISMATIC, WITH BALLS TO FIGHT CORRUPTION IN DC AND A REAL OUTSIDER, AND WITH GOVERNANCE EXPERIENCE. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN WHO BECAME PRESIDENTS HAVE DEFICIENCIES IN ACTUAL GOVERNANCE. ROMNEY IS A FORMER GOVERNOR, BUT HE IS A BIG FLIP-FLOPPER AND HE IS A PHONY CONSERVATIVE.

There is only one politician who represents the constitution, liberty, and the people. That is Ron Paul. For all of you who are “scared of his foreign policy”, remember Obamas foreign policy? He was to go around and talk to all our “enemies” and be friends? How long after he was president did that go out the window? As soon as he was briefed by the CIA on the enemies capabilities.

CIA already supports Ron Paul.

BILLTMO,
I am quite happy to break the news to you that I will not be told what to think and what to do by anybody and that includes you and it includes the “party leadership.” I used to be a registered republican, but now I am an independent. God gave me a brain and I intend to use it to make up my own mind. And the “party’s leadership” be damned! I’m not a Newt fan, but I am a Ron Paul supporter. I suppose it’s naive of me, but I like the old fashioned concept that “the people” get to nominate and then vote for whomever they choose. And as for your telling me that I’d better “get my head around that.” That is nothing more than slave mentality, you can take your marching orders from whomever you’d like as long as you have the permission of your masters/owners that you refer to as the “party leadership.” And don’t tell me to keep my mouth shut because I don’t take orders from you or from anyone else, and that includes the following: your high and mighty party leadership, your high-priests at Faux News, not Limbaugh, nor Beck, nor Hannity, nor O’Reilly. I am not a member of the Tea Party, but I don’t think that those folks would take too kindly to your comment about them either. As far as I am concerned, my thoughts and opinions are no more valid, nor any less valid than any other citizen in this great country. But the idea that the republican party leadership can tell a very sizable portion of republicans and independents that our collective thoughts, opinions and viewpoints aren’t valid and that we just need to keep our mouths shut and do as we are told is just ludicrous. And if that is indeed what they think about us, then we are ready, willing, and perfectly able to tell them what we think about them come election day.

I am of the Old School who still believes our President of the United States should be a man or woman of Character, Good Morals and Integrity. That leaves Newt Gingrich OUT!

For Todd Palin to compare this Fast-Talking Shyster to his wife’s difficulties is ludicrous!

Anybody but Comrade Obozo or Newt Gingrich or Ron Paul!

The only honest candidate who is NOT a Washington Insider or a Wall Street Money Man, and one who has what it takes to turn this country around is Rick Perry. A real leader and a real Commander in Chief who has 11 years experience at governing our 2nd largest state, controlling his 1200 mile border with Mexico, balancing budgets, signing Tort Reform into law, helping create over a million new jobs for Texas, etc.etc. Rick is the Real Deal, not a flashy Debater but a Man of his word who will do what he says he will do! Go Rick!

Perry for President 2012!

Newt is the ONLY one who tells it intelligently ‘like it is”. He does this to the Lapdog Media, with their bias questions/emoting as they pretend to be moderators like Stephanopolus and Sawyer. The two compared notes while a candidate was speaking in order to come up with the next “Gotcha”. They are “in the tank for Obama, and it shows”. ABO, Anybody But Obama is ok, but Newt does HAVE a proven track record of successes, and I also like the honesty, conservatism and directness of Santorum. Noticed how the hateful left, went after his child that died, just as they did to smear the Palin family of their son Trig. This Leftist hatred, spewed out recently by Alan Colmes and Robinson, is outrageous, and instead of Republicans getting at each other-They ALL need to expose what Obama is doing to the Republic and come down on HIM.

One thing for sure, the historian, intellect and demeanor of Gingrich would just ‘chew up Obama in Any debate and he would be frightened to even consider going up against Newt. What I see in this race, even though the Lapdog Media is making it out to be ‘the Repubs are discontent with their candidates”…..Uh, No we are not, and we will NOT let the Leftists/Obama/Soros/LibMedia pick our candidate, as they did Rino -McLame. It was a set up, that guaranteed a win for Obama.
This is the same thing, they are doing with pushing Ron Paul on us, as they KNEW this old, tired,
off the cuff remarking, career politico would LOSE to Obama. We have good candidates, and WE
will pick the one we want. I’d be pleased with a Santorum/Gingrich ticket for sure.

Despite what the mindless Obama Zombies posting here say, there are millions of Tea Party voters out there whose #1 goal is getting rid of Obama. This word from Todd Palin is signal to them to get ready…because big things are about to happen. So get ready folks…it’s going to be a wild ride that will drive the MSM and the Zombies crazy but, in the end, the country and the world will be a better place on 01.20.13. It will truly be the end of an error.

OHOH!!! Maybe it’s a trick to get attention for Sarah……Awful quiet up there in the snow hell….Well Sarah whadda say……ya gonna run Sarah…..its not to late Sarah !! Drive the lame stream;Rhinos, the leftys, the “smarter than anyone in America” elitist’s COMPLETELY over the cliff !! So Todd ..is it a trick??? I AM IN IF SARAH IS !!! Puleeeeze….

Sarah and Todd Palin are a great example of a married couple with different opinions. Just because Todd Palin supports Newt, doesn’t mean Sarah does. I support Santorum, but to each his own. May the best man win. I’m just hoping it isn’t Romney. Republicans from the Northeast aren’t very conservative, and we need someone with some strong conservative principles who will tackle the major problems this country has.

Watched the Saturday night debate put on by ABC and promised myself never again. The US debt just surpassed our GDP and all those bozos thought to ask about was gay marriage and birth control.

Raymond says: “IT IS SAD TO SAY THAT REPUBLICANS ARE FRAGMENTED LIKE A COMPUTER HARD DRIVE.”

Republican voters may be getting put through the gristmill right now. They may be confronted with many choices for candidates. They may be confused as to who might be the best candidate. They may be eagerly watching debate after debate in an effort to reach a solid decision. They may even be arguing with their fellow Republicans over the virtues and flaws of their favorite candidate.

But at least they have a choice. At least they have a roster of candidates to look over and choose from. Democrat voters are stuck with Barack Hussein Obama, and his record of lies, broken promises, missed opportunities, jaw-dropping inexperience, disastrous economic ideologies, foreign policy blunders and woeful cabinet picks. That’s it. Nobody else. Barack Obama is their ticket to “winning the future”. Egad. I’d rather have hot needles driven into my eyeballs while bamboo pokers peel back my fingernails like wet decals, as Yoko Ono music is blared into my ears. What a sad, lousy, lonely, pathetic choice. Barack Obama. The thought of him being the only option absolutely makes my skin crawl. Thank God I’m not a Democrat. They must be in a world of hurt.

The Palins are great people and Newt’s the right choice

Posted by: danibalyeat | January 9, 2012, 6:34 pm 6:34 pm

Newt”s never the right choice…he needs to be isolated and contained to not hurt himself!

Posted by: bolsen00 | January 9, 2012, 6:42 pm 6:42 pm

You mean NEWT, I have more wives than Romney? The same NEWT who created NAFTA that sent all our jobs to India? The same NEWT who took bribes from Fannie Mae and Freddic Mac mortages? The same NEWT that had problems as Speaker of the House? The same NEWT that supported Obama’s signing of the NDAA which takes away all our rights as American Citizens and allows any citizen of the U.S. to be tortured without trial by jury? The same NEWT that can’t even get 10,000 signatures in his own state of Virginia? That NEWT?? Nah! Only RON PAUL and RON PAUL ONLY to restore America. RON PAUL 2012!!!!

Todd Palin should not be endorsing anyone. He has no followers to hand over to Gingrich. The reason was very humorous though. Vote for Gingrich because he was so incompetent he was able to get his entire staff to leave, but was able to survive it.

Posted by: OldVet | January 9, 2012, 7:02 pm 7:02 pm

who is Todd Palin anyway to endorse someone?? It’s a joke, isn’t it.

Posted by: Dirgni | January 9, 2012, 7:31 pm 7:31 pm

So much for the hints in 2008 that Todd was an Independent.

I know a RINO when I smell one…

Posted by: Lib Detector | January 9, 2012, 7:38 pm 7:38 pm

It does matter who Palin stands with and I hope it’s Santorum if she doesn’t run herself.

Posted by: Mfirebrand1 | January 9, 2012, 7:43 pm 7:43 pm

Todd is right. Newt is right. Mitt is a RINO and Ron is not honest about those newsletters. Ron couldn’t care less about our security and that’s the main role of the federal government. Rick is conservative and right. BO wants Mitt. The leftist media wants Mitt. I say it is clear. Rick or Newt. That’s who the leftists fear the most. They know true conservatives will win. I would really like to see Newt debate the telepromptered president.

Who’s todd Palin?

Posted by: Alessa | January 9, 2012, 9:37 pm 9:37 pm

Newt Gingrich is not electable! He is the ultimate inside Washington DC insider! A K Street wheeler & dealer & if you think Obama & Mrs. Obama are bad with our money, vacations and lavish parties just wait for Newts lavish Tiffany party at the White House. This man is not trustworthy! He is a walking timebomb!

Posted by: Sansan | January 9, 2012, 9:41 pm 9:41 pm

Todd who? Newt who? This is “news”? Please. RON PAUL 2012

Posted by: Koby in Detroit | January 9, 2012, 10:00 pm 10:00 pm

The Palins are so disappointing, I thought they were going to speak truth to power, I thought they would call out the Washington crowd. Turns out Newt with his moral failings, personal payoffs, and RINO flip flopping makes NOOooOOo difference to the Palins and even garner their support, Total Hypocrites.!

Posted by: David Jones | January 9, 2012, 10:41 pm 10:41 pm

Good thing Sarah has secessionist union man Todd to push out on the stage making him say this. Otherwise the squawking chicken would have to figure out a way to push Piper out there to endorse Uncle Tiffany so he’ll pick mommy for VP.

Now who is Britney Spear’s fiancee’ endorsing?

Posted by: Brisket | January 9, 2012, 11:10 pm 11:10 pm

Newt, Perry, Santorum….they all have their flaws, but when it comes down to pulling the lever it wont be for Obama

Posted by: nomittens | January 9, 2012, 11:54 pm 11:54 pm

I doubt that an endorse by Todd Palin is going to help Newt any

Posted by: RMW Stanford | January 10, 2012, 12:47 am 12:47 am

no, not news, but a break from the pontificating of every citizen in new hamshire. and they are a homely bunch. todd at least has closeup experience of campaigns and candidates, which is more than one can say about the quoted show biz flakes.

if you had no interest, why read the paragraph and why go to the trouble to email a response? and why smear the man and sarah with juvenile scarcasm and hate? he politely gave the name of his chosen candidate when asked. get a grip.

Good luck Todd in the upcoming Iron Dog race and those that call him wimpy enter the race and see if you can compete

Campaign slogans
Ron Paul – Save America
Newt – Enslave America

This is a man who belongs to a group wishing for Alaska’s independence and he endorses someone like Newt for us down here to have to deal with, screw you Todd. Looks like the air in Alaska is as bad as it is down here, why don’t you walk out your back door and do something that does not require you to open your mouth.

Posted by: Mark | January 10, 2012, 8:28 am 8:28 am

Todd Palin is a moron if he thinks supporting a republican bashing capitalism is a good idea (which he obviously does).

I think the Palin’s 15 minutes expired long ago.

Posted by: Perplexed | January 10, 2012, 9:56 am 9:56 am

Why does ABC consider this newsworthy?

Posted by: John | January 10, 2012, 10:44 am 10:44 am

Has it occurred to anyone that Sarah hasn’t endorsed anyone because she is timid to do so? She is waiting for the dust to settle and then endorse the likely winner. Because if she endorses a loser, she looks like a loser (once again). And Gov. Quitter is not going to run at the 11th hour.

Posted by: HelloDere | January 10, 2012, 11:48 am 11:48 am

(yawn)…. That’s interesting…. Who’s Todd Palin? Oh, this is Sarah Palin’s Husband isn’t it? Now isn’t Sarah Palin the former VP Candidate who ran with McCain? And isn’t she the Republican Politician who has the highest Negatives with the exception of maybe Newt Gingrich? If so, doesn’t that make him the spouse of the most Negative Republican Politician? Well, except for maybe the Tiffany’s shopping Trophy wife who is 23 years younger than Gingrich….

Posted by: poyman | January 10, 2012, 12:34 pm 12:34 pm

So, who is Cindy McCain endorsing, then? LMAO at the Republicans. You should start working on 2016. You’re done here.

Posted by: Nate Bain | January 10, 2012, 2:30 pm 2:30 pm

What up with Newt Gingrich and his continually using the WALL STREET JOURNAL as his Bible, when he wants to degrade Ronmey Newt quotes the Wall Street Journal,Newt Gingrich uses quotes from the wall street journal Like a Preacher would use the scripture. There is only one problem and thats the Wall Street Journal and Fox News have an agenda,to degrade Mitt Romney and knock out of first place.Newt is NOT interested in being President he is only interested in REVENGE !! He is an old, crabby, whining diplaced FIRED House Speaker who was on the take until he decided to run for Pres..Don’t you just love a Whiner ?? Fox News is not Romney’s friend !!

Posted by: Von | January 10, 2012, 5:52 pm 5:52 pm

The Palin’s always endorse losers, and they never fail to bring up the “scrutiny” issue. If Sarah had not acted like such an idiot, the scrutiny would not have been as tough. Neither she nor Todd would be able to cope with the scrutiny that comes with a high office (and, thank God, they will never hold one)!

Posted by: Carol | January 10, 2012, 6:26 pm 6:26 pm

Dont Knock Todd Palin For going with his convictions in supporting Newt a true conservative. Even with his baggage he is a far Sight better than that Massachusetts city slicker pretty boy moderate Mitt Romney. Dont forget when you were younger everyone wanted to hang out with the popular good looking kids eg. clinton. obama. romney you just wanted to sit next to guys like newt gingrich during the physics exams.

Posted by: mp g | January 11, 2012, 6:59 pm 6:59 pm

If Romney is the nominee, 4 more years of Obama. The south will not vote for a Northest liberal republican. NEWT WOULD SHRED OBAMA. MAYBE THE ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS WILL FINALLY GET THE MESSAGE.STOP SENDING US TIMID LIBERAL REPUBLICANS. Folks , don’t you remember our conservative hero, Newt, in the 80′s and 90′s? If mitt is the nominee, I’m sittin’ home.

Posted by: Barry L. Hart | January 11, 2012, 10:43 pm 10:43 pm

Newt says he would have SP as VP because she is good at (whatever).

Todd endorses Newt $.

SP and Toad do not fool me.

THAT’S JUST GREAT….but more importantly, who will Bristol be endorsing?

Posted by: YouToo | January 18, 2012, 2:50 am 2:50 am

Who cares what the unemployed couple from Alaska want the South Carolina to vote for? Nobody asked them for advise. They just need to go home and find jobs and stop being grifters.

Posted by: Mickey | January 18, 2012, 3:03 pm 3:03 pm

Pot calling the kettle black. Republicans want to be known as the Party with the Family Values. They argue about who is the most conservative and who is the most anti-abortion but it seems that their is a high value on the number of wives you have; number of affairs you have while married; the age at which you become pregnant before you are married; how many LLC’s you set up to hide the money you are spending on yourself. They think giving money to your church is a sin–but think it is great if you spend all your money on yourself and possessions like jewelry or houses. Palin and Gingrich show how morally corrupt the Republican Party has become.
