Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has posted a real life "Texts from Hillary" as a response to the blog featuring fictional texts from her to various famous people that's become an internet sensation. The response has her texting Stacy Lambe and Adam Smith, the two men responsible for the tumbler.  "Sup Adam. Nice Selfie Stace :-)" the Secretary writes "OMG Busted" Smith says. "sry Hillz", Lambe texts back "ROFL @ ur tumblr! G2g-Scrunchie time. Ttyl?" Replies Hillary   The bottom of the exchange reads "A submission from Secretary Hillary Clinton." And as proof that the entry came from her, Smith and Lambe posted a picture of her today in sunglasses, laughing with them standing next to her on cell phones.

According to Lambe and Smith the Secretary's office reached out to them with her approval of the blog and wanted to coordinate a response.  The entry likely serves as Clinton's official response to the Tumblr blog.  She had so far refused to issue an official comment, despite repeated request from the media, including ABC News.

For those wondering what the reference to "Scrunchie time"  is from, Elle magazine recently published a lengthy profile of her in which one of her staff talks to magazine about the Secretary's no-nonsense fashion style, and  says some of the staff want to ban the 90's ponytail holder, which the Secretary prefers because it keeps her hair neat and out of her face.   At last night's Aung Suu Kyi biopic screening event in Washington DC she wore a ponytail being held by what looked like a bedazzeled… scrunchie.
