White House press secretary Jay Carney was asked on Air Force One if President Obama had a reaction to the death of beloved children book author and illustrator Maurice Sendak.
Carney said he hadn’t yet talked to the president about the loss, but “every parent must be a little bit in mourning today, and to every child who grew up with that book it’s a sad day.”
President Obama read “Where the Wild Things Are” to children at this year’s Easter Egg Roll at the White House. See the video here:
