Would Boehner Rule a Romney Presidency?, Ornstein Lays Blame, Rubio's Lament, a QWIKI with Jon Karl (PM Note)

Gridlock? - "It's 80-20 Republicans Fault" - But Norm Ornstein adds " There are no angels here, Rick."

Ornstein predicts that a Romney presidency would, at the outset, be guided more by John Boehner. He suggested that if Romney moved much to the center, he'd have more support among Democrats on Capitol Hill than Republicans.

"It's not going to be a Romney driven presidency. It's going to be a Congressional, conservative, Republican driven presidency from Congress."

Later on, says Ornstein, Romney would need Democrats help and they'd likely be obliged to give it to them. -  Watch it - http://yhoo.it/Kf6hzl

Why Republicans Fault? - Ornstein argues that Democrats did work with Bush, even though he came in on the most controversial election in 100 years on.

Ornstein points to - Education reform, Post-9/11 Terror Policy, They saved his tax cuts, They bailed out his bailouts.

Obama, meanwhile, according to Ornstein, came in with a landslide and high approval and had essentially no help from Republicans since 3 helped him on stimulus. "They weren't going to work with him on anything because if their fingerprints were on (Mitch McConnell said) it might legitimize those actions."

RIP: Old Obama Who Wanted to  Bring People Together - "The 2004 version of Barack Obama, who captured the nation with a dazzling speech about unity and went on to win the presidency on a message of hope, died on Monday. He was 8 years old," writes Matt Negrin. "The cause of death appeared to be a bitter realization that he needed to win reelection in an increasingly partisan political environment, a cancer that he had been battling for months if not years. Obama's illness got the best of him late Monday, as he announced that his campaign for four more years in the White House would be based not on optimism, but rather the shady corporate record of his opponent, Mitt Romney, who ran a private-equity firm that few Americans knew about before this year." - http://abcn.ws/KUXsK8

Rubio / Booker 2012? - "We will never solve the issues that we face if all people want to do is debate how bad the other guy is as opposed to debate whether their ideas have merit or not, and whether your ideas are better than their ideas," he continued."  - http://abcn.ws/LgF5yk
