Your Majesty, the Junior Senator From Massachusetts Will See You Now

Truck-driving Republican centerfold Scott Brown is a busy guy! When he's not wandering the dank halls of the United States Senate, he's summoning monarchial leaders from around the world to enlighten him on matters of import. Court jester, the quote!

"Each and every day that I've been a United States senator, I've been either discussing issues, meeting on issues, in secret meetings, with kings and queens and prime ministers and business leaders and military leaders, talking, voting, working on issues every single day," he said.

The Globe didn't detail with whom those meetings were. We called Brown's office and were treated to some European chamber music while on hold. You can imagine that the royal courts won't be pleased to learn of Senator Brown's negligence of discretion in revealing these once-secret debriefings. Off with his head!

UPDATE: From Colin Reed, Brown's spokesman: "Sen. Brown was referring generally to private meetings with foreign and domestic leaders. He misspoke when he said kings and queens."
