Obama's Spokespeople, Speaking From One Mouth
The Romney campaign isn't the only one recycling defensive statements to the press under different names.
Here's Barack Obama's campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith in a statement to Politics PA after Mitt Romney scolded the president for saying people don't build businesses by themselves:
"As President Obama said the other day, those who start businesses succeed because of their individual initiative - their drive, hard work and creativity. But there are critical actions we must take to support businesses and encourage new ones - that means we need the best infrastructure, a good education system and affordable, domestic sources of clean energy."
And cue Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt on the same page, literally, to Fox News:
"As President Obama said, those who start businesses succeed because of their individual initiative - their drive, hard work, and creativity. But there are critical actions we must take to support businesses and encourage new ones - that means we need the best infrastructure, a good education system, and affordable, domestic sources of clean energy."
