Romney Senior Advisor Kevin Madden to Become More Visible on Campaign Trail
Romney senior campaign adviser Kevin Madden will soon be a more visible member of the candidate's campaign staff, ABC News has learned.
The move comes after staunch criticism from conservatives that Romney's inner circle needed a shake-up. While that shake-up does not appear to be happening, Madden will be traveling more with Romney and generally seen more as a face of the campaign, sources say.
An aide to the Romney campaign had this to say about the campaign's staffing going forward: "We are constantly growing and expanding our staff to be more effective in defeating Barack Obama."
Madden was Romney's press secretary during his first bid for the presidency in 2008 but has maintained a more low-profile role so far this cycle.
