My Mandates Are Better Than Your Mandates - Republicans have spent much of the last two years lambasting President Obama and Democrats for passing a law that requires healthy Americans to buy health insurance. Now they're arguing that the Obama administration shouldn't be allowed to give states more flexibility on welfare reform.

Democrats, likewise, have tried to justify the mandate that requires healthy young people to buy health insurance. But the Obama administration wants to give states more flexibility where it comes to overseeing "welfare to work" programs.

Democrats want more control over how states control Medicaid funds.

Republicans want to require states to allow people to carry handguns. And so on.

Totally '90s - Is Obama Gutting Welfare Reform? - Speaking just outside Chicago, Romney said President Obama has tried to "take the work requirement out of welfare. That is wrong. If I'm president, I'll put work back in welfare."

The White House bit back, with Obama press secretary Jay Carney calling the new line of attacks "categorically false and blatantly dishonest."

RNC Speakers Off Veep List? Romney Says No-The Republican National Committee is slowly releasing a list of names of high profile Republicans, such as Condoleezza Rice and Rick Santorum, who will headline the GOP convention in Tampa later this month, but just because someone's name appears on this rundown doesn't mean they can be ruled out as candidates for Vice President. http://abcn.ws/S1ddBP (Arlette Saenz)
