A Democratic source tells ABC News that the 2012 Democratic Platform is being "updated to reflect the president's position that Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel."

The Platform will also will be updated to include language mentioning "God" that had been taken out, specifically the 2008 language saying "we need a government that stands up for the hopes, values and interests of working people and gives everyone wiling to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential."

The changes in the platform had met with criticism from not only Republicans, but Democrats.
