Elizabeth Warren 2016?

The battle between Sen. Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren looks more like an national campaign than a Senate race. Even with superPacs on the sidelines (thanks to an agreement by the candidates), it is the most expensive and highest-profile race in the country other than the one for president.

For progressive Democrats, the race is about much more than winning a Senate seat - it's about turning Elizabeth Warren into a national figure. Her supporters around the country have helped her raise more than any candidate this year other than Obama and Romney. At a major conference of liberal Democrats over the summer, Warren actually beat out Hillary Clinton in the first big straw poll of the 2016 presidential campaign.

So, mark this down: In my interview with Warren on her Senate race, I also asked her if should would consider running for President. Her answer was just as firm as Barack Obama's in 2006: "No, No, No, No, No."
