Wall Street Journal's Laura Meckler: " Obama Makes First Visit to Myanmar" President Barack Obama arrived in this once-pariah nation Monday to praise its progress away from military rule and call for more steps to address human rights abuses, in hopes that his high-profile attention will push the nation further down the road of political and economic change. Mr. Obama is the first sitting U.S. president to visit Myanmar, also known as Burma, which has moved within the last two years to a quasicivilian government but is the subject of continuing human-rights concerns. The Washington Times' " GOP says Intel right, narrative wrong on Libya" Top Republicans on the House and Senate intelligence committees said Sunday that Obama administration political appointees removed references to al Qaeda-linked groups from intelligence agencies' accounts of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The Washington Post's Karen DeYoung: " On Sunday talks shows, lawmakers spar over Benghazi attack" Republican and Democratic lawmakers sharply disagreed Sunday over whether and to what extent the Obama administration soft-pedaled its initial public explanation of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. "I think it's very odd that the story line they chose omitted al-Qaeda, which would help the president enormously" three weeks before a hotly contested election in which President Obama claimed to have vanquished the terrorist group, said Sen. Politico's Josh Gerstein and Jennifer Epstein: " Obama seeks to head off Israeli ground invasion in Gaza" President Obama made his first remarks Sunday on the escalating violence in Gaza and Israel, firmly backing Israel's right to defend itself militarily against rocket attacks from the Hamas-controlled Palestinian area, but also making clear that he's eager to avert a potential ground incursion into Gaza by Israeli troops. "There's no country on Earth that would tolerate missiles raining down on its citizens from outside its borders," he said at a press conference here with the Thai prime minister. LINK

The Hill's Sam Baker: " Five "ObamaCare" battles to watch" "Republicans aren't going to repeal "ObamaCare" in the next four years, but there's still plenty of room for both political fights and policy changes.
