Hillary Clinton Rippin' Mad
Oh yes, a few Senators are asking tough questions of Hillary Clinton at long-awaited hearings on Benghazi. But Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., got it right back in his face.
Clinton ripped into him when he pressed her on U.N. Amb. Susan Rice's infamous TV appearance. Rice, reiterating CIA-approved Obama administration talking points, said there was evidence the Benghazi consulate attack was the result of a protest, not terrorism. That later turned out to not be true and it is now clear there was intelligence shortly after the attack that it was terrorism.
But Clinton rejected the notion that Rice was misleading the country, saying about as emphatically as I have seen her, "With all due respect, we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk who decided they'd go kill Americans," she said in a heated voice. "What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened."
Earlier in the hearing, Clinton became emotional talking about seeing the four Americans' coffins arrive at Dover Air Force base and consoling their families.
