Those silly politicians. Turns out, they can take a joke!

First real Joe Biden - as in the Vice President, or at least his Twitter caddy - tweeted at The Onion in response to its autobiography in which he drove a Trans Am.

"#imavetguy," was the tweet last month from @VP along with a picture of Biden next to a classic red Corvette.

Now outgoing Energy Secretary Steven Chu has responded to an Onion parody in which he is portrayed as waking up hung over, next to a solar panel. (The Onion doctored a photo of Chu in bed with the solar panel to go along with its item.)

Anway, Chu responds on Facebook by neither confirming or denying the charge but clarifying that love for solar panels is O.K.

"I just want everyone to know that my decision not to serve a second term as Energy Secretary has absolutely nothing to do with the allegations made in this week's edition of the Onion. While I'm not going to confirm or deny the charges specifically, I will say that clean, renewable solar power is a growing source of U.S. jobs and is becoming more and more affordable, so it's no surprise that lots of Americans are falling in love with solar."
