It seems shocking, but supermodel Kate Upton's 21st birthday didn't include a trip to Vegas, a birthday shot book or even a bar crawl with friends.

Instead, the two-time Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl rang in the momentous day with her uncle, Congressman Fred Upton (R- Mich.), and GOP Whip Kevin McCarthy.

The party animals were documented on McCarthy's Instagram page.

"With Congressman Fred Upton and his niece, Kate. We are celebrating Kate's 21st Birthday #kateupton," McCarthy wrote in the caption.

Kate's uncle, Rep. Upton, recently co-wrote an opinion piece with McCarthy for the San Jose Mercury News titled "President is California Dreamin' about Obamacare." The op-ed knocked the effects of the disputed health care plan in California.

While Kate's opinions on health care have not been made public, she has caught the eye of another politically connected 21-year-old.

McCarthy's nephew, Zac McCarthy, promptly commented on the photo saying, "@repkevinmccarthy don't forget you got a 21 year old nephew…."
