It may be the oddest best selling book out there: a coloring book for kids featuring a conservative politician.

Politicians are not exactly a children's draw.

But "U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz to the Future" is at the top of Amazon's Children's Coloring Books Best Seller list.

The coloring and activity book is St. Louis based Really Big Coloring Books Inc.'s newest release in its "Tell the Truth - Tell it Often - Tell the Children" series, which has previously released coloring books featuring President Obama and the Tea Party.

Since its release on Dec. 6, the book featuring the tea party hero has been selling out. All 10,000 copies of the first print run were sold in less than 24 hours. Just six days after its release, the company had reprinted the coloring and activity book three times.

Cruz did not cooperate in the production of the book, but the senator's press secretary Catherine Frazier told ABC, "We hope all who enjoy the book color it in bright bold colors, and not pale pastels, just as Ronald Reagan would have wanted."

The cover shows a sharply dressed Cruz pointing at a blooming tea plant which grows from the words "grass roots" and features leaves printed with words the senator is known to champion like "lower taxes," "gun rights" and "free enterprise."

Sitting at the top of the tea plant are the words "White House" hinting at the freshman senator's presidential ambitions.

Cruz has two young daughters, Caroline, 5, and Catherine, 2. Frazier did not immediately respond when asked if the senator's daughters would be receiving copies of the book for Christmas.

The reviews of the book seem to divided between those who prefer the color red or the color blue.

Amazon user TNEASY gave the book a 5 star rating and said, "Ted Cruz rises today to champion Freedom and a stronger America. Withstanding the verbal onslaught from Progressive fools and big government Republicans, Ted Cruz carries the Constitution before him like Indiana Jones and the Ark of the Covenant. Truth and proven tradition perforate the utopian statist illusions."

But, Amazon user gman863 "gman863? was not as complimentary, giving the book a one star rating. The user wrote, "before purchasing this book, be sure the recipient owns and knows how to properly use crayons." Gman863 continued, "I was going to purchase this for a friend who actually supports Ted Cruz; however he has not progressed beyond finger painting."

A review on the Really Big Coloring Book's website indicates why the book is selling so well. One user, Lopez from Texas commented, "Our Tea Party is ordering 50 books to give away. I am sure they will be surprised as I was to see this book. Wow, can't wait."
