'Angry Birds,' the Animated Series, Coming This Fall
Forget Saturday morning cartoons. "Angry Birds," the animated series, is coming.
Rovio, the company that makes the popular flying-bird game, has confirmed that it will launch a series of 52 short video animations this fall. Each segment will be between two and three minutes and will be available "on all possible devices," Rovio's head of animation, Nick Dorra, said at a conference in Cannes, France.
The Finland-based company is working to make it available across screens, including phones, tablets, computers and TVs. It has already struck a deal with Samsung to include its app on its Smart TVs.
But if those short clips aren't enough, Rovio is also working on a full-length film. Dorra said it won't be out until 2013 or 2014.
Dorra wasn't specific about the content of the films or the series, but something tells us those angry birds and pigs are going to be clashing in a big way.
