When Jennifer Lawrence won the Golden Globe for best supporting actress Sunday night, a whole host of her loved ones wanted to congratulate her.

Only one, however, got to smooch her.

Lawrence's on-again boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult, sat by her side during the ceremony and gave her a romantic kiss before she made her way to the stage. Afterward, he gallantly offered his coat to her (that strapless Dior gown wasn't going to keep her warm!) and stayed close to her all night.

For Lawrence, 23, that kind of support is what keeps her grounded.

"I have a good group of friends that I've had for a really long time," she said, according to People. "We all like doing the same thing, which is not what the tabloids like writing about."

But she added that she did plan to celebrate winning her award.

"I need to catch up on my drinking," she said. "I think that's why I was manic. I normally have a glass of wine."
