Stylist-to-the-stars Rachel Zoe is facing a fashion disaster of her own after her suitcase full of designer clothes was lost by American Airlines as she traveled from Los Angeles to St. Barts for the holidays.

Zoe, the star of her own Bravo reality-TV show, "The Rachel Zoe Project," traveled to Miami last week for a short visit before continuing on to St. Barts to ring in the New Year with her husband, Rodger Berman, and their baby son, Skyler.

While Zoe's plane landed safely in Miami, her luggage did not.

"Just love when u start a much needed vacation and AA loses my luggage…good times," Zoe wrote in a Dec. 23 tweet on her Twitter account.

The stylist, whose A-list clients include Cameron Diaz, Eva Mendes, Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, was left with only the clothes on her back.

For a clotheshorse like Zoe, who was seen on her Bravo show toting 11 suitcases for a trip to Paris for Fashion Week, the situation was one the star herself would deem "bananas."

Nonetheless, a resourceful Zoe turned a frustrating situation into an opportunity to do something she knows well, shopping.

"This is "happy me" after maj retail therapy at Curve Miami..post missing luggage!," she wrote in a Dec. 24 tweet, along with a picture of her smiling.

What even retail therapy might not be able to heal for Zoe, though, is the knowledge of her fashion gems that went missing. The stylist's lost suitcase was said to contain "a Tom Ford for Gucci vintage leather jacket and Missoni caftans," according to the New York Post.

Zoe's public battle with American Airlines is the second celebrity headache this month for the airline, whose parent company also recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

"30 Rock" star Alec Baldwin was removed from an American Airlines flight Dec. 6 in Los Angeles after he refused to turn off his phone while playing the Scrabble game "Words With Friends."

The actor publicly berated the airline and the stewardesses on his flight with rants on Twitter and a tongue-in-cheek appearance on "Saturday Night Live."

In 2010, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr accused the airline of losing luggage that contained the antique wedding dress the Victoria's Secret model wore when she married actor Orlando Bloom earlier that year.  Kerr took to her Facebook page to complain and ask her more than 300,000 fans for help in what she should do.

As for Zoe, one week later, her luggage too remains lost. "We are working diligently to find Ms. Zoe's bag, as we would for any passenger," a rep for American told the Post.

The family, however, put the travel headache behind them and continued on to St. Barts, where they were pictured on the beaches of the Caribbean island alongside A-list names such as designer Marc Jacobs and his ex-fiance, Lorenzo Martone.
