Daniel Radcliffe has been starring in the play "The Cripple of Inishmaan" in London recently, and when new photos emerged of the actor leaving London's Noel Coward Theater on Thursday, some speculated that the actor looked too "gaunt."

Nonsense, his rep told ABC News, when asked about the photographs.

"That's an incredibly demanding role, physically, and after each performance he signs autographs for a long time by the stage door," his rep explained, adding that Radcliffe, 23, is often sweaty from his performance when he's outside. Making matters (and paparazzi photos) worse, his rep added, "There's a heat wave in London."

When asked if there is any chance that the photograph could indicate that there was something wrong with Radcliffe, his rep said, "Absolutely not."

Earlier this year, the "Harry Potter" star said he's drawn to roles that seem interesting regardless of how they could affect public opinion of him. When asked about his recent film "Kill Your Darlings," in which he played Allen Ginsberg, he acknowledged, "There's this tendency to think that I want to shock people, but [I don't]."

"The early steps I took away from 'Potter,' there was always that safety net of going back to 'Potter' afterwards. I would always have another job," he said. "For a while [after 'Potter' ended], there was a bit of the sense of the oddness of knowing that I will never be doing another 'Harry Potter' film. That was a little bit sad."

But it's also led to roles like this one.
