Hours after apologizing for sampling audio from the space shuttle Challenger disaster for her love song "XO," Beyonce was grabbing headlines again, this time for posing in front of an iconic work of art.

In a photo posted on her Instagram, the pop superstar poses in front of what looks like Leonardo DaVinci's famous religious painting The Last Supper. Wearing a body-hugging lime green skirt and yellow bustier, Beyonce appears to be sitting in the middle of the table in the spot occupied by Jesus.

The pose has sparked outrage from some fans.

"You are so disrespectful !!! I Will Be Praying For U !!!! U ARE NOT JESUS !!!!!" one fan wrote below the Instagram photo.

In fact, the 32-year-old singer is posing on the counter of Miami's Jugofresh juice bar in front of an Andy Warhol mural of "The Last Supper" complete with camouflage.

Without a caption attached to the photo, it's not clear what the singer's intentions were.

But Monday, she found herself explaining why she chose to use a recording from the Challenger disaster in a song from her latest album after some current and former NASA astronauts and their families labeled it "insensitive." The space shuttle Challenger broke up shortly after its launch in 1986, killing all seven astronauts aboard.

"My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster," Beyonce said in an exclusive statement to ABC News. "The song 'XO' was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you."

"The songwriters included the audio in tribute to the unselfish work of the Challenger crew with hope that they will never be forgotten," the singer said.
