Former "Dancing With the Stars" winner J.R. Martinez and Diana Gonzalez-Jones have split.

Martinez, 30, and Gonzalez-Jones gave birth to daughter Lauryn in May of 2012.

"Diana and I have ended our relationship. However, we are committed to working together to raise our daughter in a healthy and happy environment," Martinez told People magazine.

Martinez, who recovered from severe burns sustained in the Iraq War, took to his Facebook page Wednesday and said that people's changing is just "part of life."

"But sometimes it's easier to hold on to the memories of who they were rather then to realize who they have become …," he added.

The motivational speaker and "All My Children" star won season 13 of "Dancing With the Stars" with his partner, Karina Smirnoff.
