Mark-Paul Gosselaar said his experience on "Saved by the Bell" was nothing like the wild sex-and-drug tales his co-star, Dustin Diamond, wrote about in his book, "Behind the Bell."

"It is negative," Gosselaar told " HuffPost Live" Wednesday when asked about Diamond's 2009 tell-all. "That, I must say. Everything I've heard about his book is it is negative. I don't remember those things. My experience on the show was very positive."

The "Saved by the Bell" alum added, "That's why when people say, 'Oh, you don't like talking about it,' I don't mind talking about it, I just don't really remember that time. But also, everything I do remember was extremely positive."

Gosselaar isn't alone, either.

Breckin Meyer, co-star of his current show, "Franklin & Bash," and a fellow 1990s actor, told "HuffPost Live" that Gosselaar's "Bell" co-stars also had positive memories.

"I know Elizabeth [Berkley] and Tiffani [Thiessen] and Mario [Lopez] and everyone has nothing but, like, awesome [things] to say about that except for Dustin. I'm like, 'That might be you, bro," Meyer said.

But Gosselaar gave Diamond the benefit of the doubt, saying, "It's his perspective."

Later this fall, Lifetime is scheduled to air an unauthorized movie centered around the behind-the-scenes drama of the six young cast members of the 1990s hit series. According to Buzzfeed, the TV movie is based on new interviews and not Diamond's book.

But Berkley, for one, won't be tuning in. She told reporters at a dance gala recently, "I'm not really curious about it. We know the lives we led. I have no idea what their picture of it is."
