Channing Tatum Says Wife Has to OK His Stripper Moves in 'Magic Mike XXL'
Channing Tatum's wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, not only gets a preview of his stripper moves for the sequel "Magic Mike XXL," she actually signs off on them.
"Our two choreographers on the movie, they're really, really good friends [with Jenna]," Tatum told People this weekend. "So I work it out with them and then I go show Jenna for approval."
Tatum, 34, and his wife, 33, actually met on the set of the dance film "Step Up" in 2006. Since tying the knot in 2009, they have a daughter together, Everly, now 16 months.
"She actually loves 'Magic Mike,' believe it or not," Tatum said of his wife's response to his sexy striptease numbers. "It's an interesting thing that actors have to deal with. We're 10 years into it now, so it's kind of old hat. We've moved past it."

Dewan-Tatum also knows how important the "Magic Mike" movies are to her husband, because they were inspired by his real-life experiences as a stripper in Florida.
"If I was just doing some movie about strippers, then she'd probably be like, 'Why do you want to do that?'" Tatum said. "But it started off as a story that I really love, and it's grown into something that I love even more because it's a weird world that I experienced in my real life."
He added, "It's just a part of me telling some part of my life. And she understands that."
