1994 Earthquake in California

A morning earthquake in Los Angeles hit 6.6 on the Richter scale.  Sixty people were killed and more than 7,000 were injured. The earthquake caused highway damage, power outages, gas leaks and fire.  Several apartment buildings collapsed while residents were sleeping.

1995 Earthquake in Japan

A massive 7.2 earthquake in Kobe, Japan, devastated infrastructure and killed more than 6,000.  Fire broke out throughout the city and entire neighborhoods were leveled.  Rescue workers combed through the rubble looking for survivors.

1998 Bill Clinton Accused of Sexual Harassment

President Bill Clinton testified in a sexual harassment case against him.  Paula Jones claimed that Clinton had harassed her at a hotel room in Little Rock, Ark., in 1991.
