Hosting Duties In a skit during Sunday's Oscars, William Shatner - who was beaming in from the "23rd century" - suggested that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler host the awards show next year. Fey said today though that the gig wasn't in her future. In an interview with The Huffington Post, Fey said that while it was "an honor to be 'Shatnered'" during the Seth MacFarlane-hosted show, the job was not for her. "I just feel like that gig is so hard," Fey told the website. "Especially for, like, a woman - the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone - no way."

To the Rescue A deer and her fawn were stranded on a frozen lake and the ice was too thin for rescuers to venture onto the water, but that did not stop them from saving the day. First responders used a low-flying helicopter to blow the deer to safety.

Van Cliburn Legendary pianist Van Cliburn has died at the age of 78. Cliburn was a champion from the days when the Soviet Union was America's fiercest enemy. In 1958, at the height of the Cold War, he took the stage at the international Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow and received an eight-minute standing ovation and the gold medal.
