With that Des Moines Register poll showing a surge for Rick Santorum, Matt Dowd predicted an Iowa win for Santorum on GMA.

As for me, I’ll go with Mitt Romney – his team knows the ropes, and late breakers like to go with the man they believe will be the nominee. But in this crazy year, I wouldn’t be surprised by either Santorum or Ron Paul.

Here’s the video from GMA:

My wife turned on your show this morning and I saw the story about the Iowa caucuses. You showed poll results with Ron Paul in second place. You then went on in the story talking about Rick Santorum in a surge that could help him win over Mitt Romney. You brought up other candidates and I realized you hadn’t said Ron Paul’s name. I started watching carefully and Ron Paul was only mentioned once – by some analyst you had on. Why? Why do you not mention the person in second place? Are you trying to protect the Republican party by not mentioning a candidate with “interesting” views? Do you simply not like Ron Paul and therefore will not give him the courtesy of even saying his name?

Regardless of the reason, your bias in reporting was obvious, fascinating and disturbing.

I heard that Barbara Walters will be available to interview George Stephanopoulos after he loses every penny in his pocket to Ron Paul. Mrs. Walters, I hope you can add George S. to your list of crying celebrities captured on live television.

George, it’s not hardly ever I would disagree with you with your political experience and background, BUT I’m inclined to agree it’ll be Rick. Romney has too much baggage and thinks money is the anwer to everything.

2012 has barely begun and I am already tired of the “election” coverage. I do not live in Iowa, I don’t care what Iowans think about the candidates. What bearing does it have on the Nov. elections? You are covering the caucuses like it was the second coming. And it’s not just ABC it’s all the networks. I haven’t yet “turned on” but I sure have “tuned out.”
