Michelle Obama Dismisses ‘Angry Black Woman’ Image

First Lady Michelle Obama denied reports of tension between her and White House aides, saying people have tried to portray her as “some kind of angry black woman.”
In an interview with CBS News, the first lady said she has not read New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor’s new book “The Obamas,” which depicts her as a forceful behind-the-scenes power player in her husband’s administration who often clashes with the president’s top advisers.
“I never read these books,” Obama told CBS’ Gayle King. “I’ve just gotten in the habit of not reading other people’s impressions of people.”
The first lady denied accusations that she is frustrated and unhappy in the White House, saying “I love this job” and that it has “been a privilege” from day one.
“I guess it’s more interesting to imagine this conflicted situation here and a strong woman. But that’s been an image that people have tried to paint of me since the day Barack announced. That I’m some angry black woman.”
Asked how she deals with that image, Mrs. Obama said “I just try to be me.”
“My hope is that over time people get to know me. And they get to judge me for me,” she said. “That’s why I don’t read these books. Because, you know, it’s a game in so many ways… Who can write about how I feel? Who? What third person can tell me how I feel? Or anybody for that matter.”
The first lady pushed back specifically against reports of friction with the president’s former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and former Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.
“Rahm and I have never had a cross word. He’s a funny guy,” she said. “I don’t have conversations with my husband’s staff. I don’t go to the meetings. Our staffs work together really well. If there’s communication that needs to happen, it happens between staffs… I can count the number of times I go over to the West Wing, period.”
Mrs. Obama also said she was unaware of the 2010 incident, detailed in the book, when Gibbs lost his temper and reportedly shouted profanities about the first lady. “Robert Gibbs is a trusted adviser. He’s been a good friend and remains so. I’m sure that we could go day-to-day and find things people wish they didn’t say to each other or said. People stumble. People make mistakes.”

“Who can write about how I feel? Who? What third person can tell me how I feel? Or anybody for that matter.”………… You are correct.. no one can know how you feel, but they sure can tell whey you being a ass or not. (not saying that you were or anything).
““Rahm and I have never had a cross word. He’s a funny guy,” she said. “…… Sorry, Rahm does not strike me as a “funny guy”. Looks more like a Pit Bull.. which does not mean he is bad or evil.. just not a “funny guy”.

No need to worry about the haters, Mrs. Obama. Those of us who are rational and can recognize cultural differences, see you for the loyal wife, great mother, and gracious First Lady that you are. As a fellow African-American, I know exactly what you meant when you said you were really proud of your country, for the first time. I felt the same way when I saw this country elect an African-American President. Alas, that pride didn’t last too long as I watched your opposition swear to dedicate the next four years of their working life to make you a one-term president. Never mind the good of the country. I’ve seen the hateful, spiteful comments referring to you as Dennis Rodman. The attacks are vicious and racist. Racism will never die in this country, because the racists drill it into their children and grandchildren’s heads to hate anything that is not white, straight and Christian. I’m happy that I got the chance to live long enough to have a short-lived window of pride in the U.S.A.

Michelle just loves the limelight and the cameras, so why does she have to come out to defend herself……She does not give me the impression that she is very bright…..she does not interview very well…Gayle King had to keep prodding her…….for a former attorney I do not find her very articulate…she sounds very simple and dumb in an interview and no I do believe she does not sit into any of the meetings the President has with his staff because she cannot fit in……She needs to get a life and stop posing for the cameras in those ugly cheap clothes she be wearing…She needs a new hairstylist and a real updated wardrobe to fit her body size !!!!!

There is no such thing as the “angry black woman” and we are sick and tired of you racists holding us to some un-human standard, by which we must walk around with a stupid grin on our faces, or we are deemed angry. Someone even pointed out that when Mrs. Obama was asked how it makes her feel to be mischaracterized and she said it made her angry. I say that is a freaking HUMAN response to being mischaracterized in the context of some ass that doesn’t even know you. Never mind, you racists will never want to understand anyone who is not white, straight and Christian. I’ll say it for you, Mrs. Obama: “Racists can kiss my black a@@!”

The author of the book is making a good buck by pushing a stereotype of Mrs. Obama that racist people want to believe. And despite all the evidence to the contrary, those that are racist will believe it because it supports their internal dialogue.
Just look at some of these comments and tell me that they are normal to talk that way about someone they don’t know personally.

Oh dear! Poor woman, she is just SO misunderstood! I mean really!! I feel incredibly bad for the poor dear and all the slack she continually gets! *sigh*
Ok, I seriously could not type any of that with a straight or serious face, LOL!! She reads all the books and articles written about her and her husband, puhhhlease, we all know better! She wants to know every little thing, good or bad, being said about them. They KNOW how Americans feel about them now. I don’t understand why she felt it was needed to bring up the fact she’s not an angry “black” woman?? Why not just say not an “angry woman”?! Why feel the need to bring race or skin color into it?! She’s a phony and not telling the truth. The ONLY thing she loves and feels privledged to is all the perks, spending millions of $$ of shopping, taking one vacay after another, and believing she’s powerful. Worst “First Lady” ever, and I cannot even bring myself to call her that or think of her as one. She certainly doesn’t act like one or dress like one. What happened to her hating our country and the military too btw?? I noticed all this love and attention she has for the military and military families so suddenly? What a complete phony and good actress too. That family cannot get out of the White House fast enough, and what a total embarrassment those people are for our country. But her, really cannot stand her, or looking at her. UGH.

Kadee, when anyone claims to ‘know better’ when they don’t have inside access to someone’s mind or have actually witnessed it, a lively imagination is all that is going on! Or else actual mind-reading is happening, in which case you are wasting your talent!
And I guessed that you missed all the time she has spent publicly with the military over the years to come to the conclusion that she ‘suddenly’ is interested in them.

When Michelle Obama went to college – on her first freshman day, her white roommates mother walked in, saw that her daughter was sharing a dorm room with a black girl and said “oh no you’re not! You will NOT be sharing a room with the black girl!” and then ran off and had a fit trying to swap rooms so her daughter would get a white roommate. I think given the obstacles Michelle has had in her life, she’s done stunning. She got all A’s in college, probably better than that white girl. Tell me, how many of you graduated law school????? had someone freak out their child was simply going to be near you because your skin color meant you were something less???? Example of an angry CRAZY woman who continues to get “press passes” on the LIES she speaks:
Washington Examiner reports:
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., speaking in New Hampshire this morning, reminded her audience of the tragic Tucson shooting last year — and also insinuated that the Tea Party, which she said regards political opponents as “the enemy,” has enhanced divisiveness in Congress and had something to do with the shooting, at least indirectly.
“We need to make sure that we tone things down, particularly in light of the Tucson tragedy from a year ago, where my very good friend, Gabby Giffords — who is doing really well, by the way, — [was shot],” Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chair said during a “Politics and Eggs” forum this morning. “The discourse in America, the discourse in Congress in particular . . . has really changed, I’ll tell you. I hesitate to place blame, but I have noticed it take a very precipitous turn towards edginess and lack of civility with the growth of the Tea Party movement.”
This woman is truly desperate.

IMHO, Mrs. Obama has done an outstanding as our First Lady. She has always appeared to care very much about doing a good job and presents herself as such. I wholeheartedly believer her when states she hasn’t had undo or incorrect contact with senior officials. These type of comments (angry black woman) and any others that mention her race are out of order and completely racist. You don’t find the press or other authors writing about angry Caucasion, Hispanic, Asian or any other race. Even if she was an “angry woman” there is no reason to specify her heritage, Shame on in racists that still exist in Our United States. Freedom of speech is a wonderful privilege we Americans have at our disposal, is shames us to the entire world when they see and hear that we can’t even get past using racial descriptive words to slam each other whether or not they are in office or not. I would stack Mrs. Obama up against any woman, regardless or race, color or creed. She has done some wonderful work since she became our First Lady as well as good works before that time. She is vigilant and pro active in the programs she believes in, I believe in Mrs.Obama, I believe she has a great intelligence and a genuine concern for those in need, which her work record and decorum prove out.The Hate has got to stop one of these days..I pray I am alive to see it. Granted we have made strides to further equal ALL US Citizens but as long as reporting such as this and book showing non tolerance for diversity we will never be admired, as looked up to as a great nation. And the folks that spout this drivel may have a slight moment of fame and banter around however. they won’t have a place in history to be proud of, not my their families and not by others like me that have ZERO tolerance to any type of racism or slanderous, uninformed half truths about anyone in our honored Democratic Government.

“I’m a Republican and I don’t even understand why “first lady has friction with some Presidential staff” is even a story. It happens in EVERY administration. Its not even news. This and her reaction to the story are both non-stories in my opinion.”
Like… RIGHT ON!!! This is a non-story of which everyone is over-reacting–even the White House. Of the excerpts I have read of the book Mrs Obama is portayed in a very very favorable light. I almost get the impression that Jodi Kantor (author) is so mesmerized by the First Lady and her character that she considers her one of the most important people she has ever met. For me, all this is just noise to sell a book (which I plan to buy) and ahem… err.. (cough) (cough), major free publicity for President Obama. From my understanding there is no smoking gun here BUT Mrs. Obama is sure going to get a lot of air time!
I must say though that this book is indeed well timed given the nasty, incessant, comments and graphics distributed by men who are supposedly deemed as grown adults and who should know better. I see Mrs Obama’s popularity going higher.

Mrs. Obama is a strong mean lady. I could never forget seeing her demeaned Mrs. Clinton during the early days of 2008 campaign, holding a loudspeaker on one hand, gesturing with the other, telling the large crowds, “If you can’t take care of your husband, how can you take care of the Presidency.” I didn’t remember what dress she wore then, I just remembered the mean venom. But when people called her out on not being proud of America, she said that America is a mean country.

“— So back off the “race card”… if that’s all you got… you will be simply dismissed!! — By Loyal Opposition.” _____________ Loyal, “dismissed”! The arrogance and superiority of you! Ha! There is no freaking “race card” — that’s something that racists who don’t want to admit racism use to denounce the fact that racism is ALIVE. And to the hack who spoke about my rear end (not important enough to remember the name) — open your racist eyes and see that no two rear ends are the same. In fact, I’ve seen white women with rear landscapes that would make the beaches of Florida ashamed. And to the other hack (equally unimportant to me) who spoke about paying taxes for my rear end — you’re a joke. I have worked every day of my life — HARD. Me and my ex put two children (who are quite successful) through college. Who do you think you are to assume that because of the fact that I am Black, YOU paid taxes on MY behalf? You sound like an idjit. And to all others who see my posts as some kind of expression of “victimhood” — THINK AGAIN. I don’t know what the word “victim” means. Now, let’s talk about THRIVING in spite of a racist system. Something YOU know nothing about, being how easy it is to exist in America if you’re the right race, have the right religious beliefs, and are heterosexual. It’s a freaking day at the beach for you. I have the same issues of family, earning a living and wanting a better life as YOU do, but YOU don’t have the obstacles in your path that I’ve had to overcome. And I’m PROUD of overcoming them.

What in the world have they done that warrants such vitriol and venom? Even the anti-Bush people didn’t proclaim hatred and racism against him. I just don’t get it.

Terry/James/RyanC/ and whatever other names you post under:
The fact that you bring up a comment from LAST YEAR only proves how desperate the Obama campaign machine is. You add nothing of substance to any topics, you simply show up to attack someone who doesn’t agree with the Obama platform.
Is your name really Jesse Lee, Obama’s hired internet intimidator, or one of his minimum wage hacks? Either way, your tactics are pathetic.

She was the one that said “she was never proud to be an American”, so I guess she is still an “angry black woman”, just like she has always been! Next she will be super angry because she and her hubby will be moving out of the White House in a year! No more $100 million dollar vacations to India for the Obama’s!

I’m sick of the attacks on this First Lady…she has been one of the best. And yes there is racism…I have heard it from plenty of people I know “I just can’t vote for a black man” ,etc. from otherwise rational people. It’s sickening. This country is going down. It’s a shame because when Pres. Obama was elected I thought people would work with him. Now they have a bunch of clowns contending on the GOP/Tea Party side…they are attacking each other and then whoever wins will suddenly be “wonderful” and the attacks on this president will begin. It’s sad and disgusting! And yes I have never heard of any other First Lady attacked like this.

I think her reference to this was not from the book, she said she did not read it.. I think it is from the hell she caught over the “for once I am proud to be an American” statement.
“there is hope. But I don’t see much changchanging any time soon — but then, I could be surprised, even in my lifetime. ”

A black man did not stand a chance of being elected to the Presidency 50 years ago.. too be honest, not even 20 years ago. As someone who lived through the late 50′s and 60′s and saw the things that I saw, I would NEVER thought it would happened in my lifetime, but it did, and NOT ALL those votes for Obama were from blacks… I know, I was one of those white southerners that voted for him, and I know plenty others that did also.

If you listened to the author the other day on t.v. explaining her book…she said she meant no disrespect…she was just illustrating the transition every president’s wife goes through adjusting to having so many people control your life. She is a good Mom and wanted to keep her children private as she has done. The Obama haters will seize on this book to once again say she is an angry black women….no woman was more angry than Nancy Reagan and everyone in the White House hated her…she was the real control freak. Also, many wrote articles about her spending habits which they considered too excessive so…every lady in the White House has some enemies, I suppose. The author went on to say that this lady…Michelle….has gone on to unite the people working in the White House..the staff and everyone. She also said that she has achieved many good things during this presidency but I see no one mentioning this…guess you did not really read the book. Just picked up on some words…you heard…This family has had to endure so much prejudice even to the point that some did not want the president…one of the most educated presidents to speak to school children….what a laugh. All he intended to say was …stay in school and study. But the radicals in this country felt he would spread his Muslem religion which he is not….what a bunch of idiots who seem to have so much to say. Should Romney get in…I predict you will not be so happy as you think….your soc. sec. will be privitized and your income cut that you receive…then y ou will not be so happy. Your medicare will be changed and you will be given 1500 per year to try to get insurance company to cover you…good luck to anyone with diabetes or cancer. You will once again be at the mercy of insurance companies who can again kick you off when you get sick. Women’s rights will be attacked again and voting rights changed to make it easier for republicans to win again…this is already happening. All I can say is look to Wisconsin, Florida and Ohio…all with rep. governors. Gov. Scott Walker is already being recalled and Ohio and Florida are waiting to see what they are going to do as they do not like their governor either….so don’t be so cocky…it won’t be the utopia you think. And….this president did not cause this economy which started in 2007…it was caused by the Bush Cheney group which was given a surplus of 1.2 trill and turned it into a recession.

Oh please people. Obama was voted in as President due to racism. The black people came out in droves to vote for him because of his color and nothing else. They did not care if he could do anything or not, he was cleaned up, talked good and was black. If you look at the demographics for who voted for Obama he got the biggest majority of the welfare recipients. It is because he is black and promised them that he would help to ‘share the wealth’ of all the rich people.

Google Bush Haters. You might not rememeber the vitriol, but it was there. Here is a partial story of one example:
Time Magazine World, Sept. 14, 2003:
“Bill Moyers may have his politics, but his deferential demeanor and almost avuncular television style made him the Mr. Rogers of American politics. So when he leaves his neighborhood to go to a “Take Back America” rally and denounces George W. Bush’s “government of, by and for the ruling corporate class,” leading a “right-wing wrecking crew” engaged in “a deliberate, intentional destruction of the United States way of governing,” you know that something is going on.
That something is the unhinging of the Democratic Party. Democrats are seized with a loathing for President Bush — a contempt and disdain giving way to a hatred that is near pathological — unlike any since they had Richard Nixon to kick around. An otherwise reasonable man, Julian Bond of the N.A.A.C.P., speaks of Bush’s staffing his Administration with “the Taliban wing of American politics.” Harold Meyerson, editor at large of The American Prospect, devotes a 3,000-word article to explaining why Bush is the most dangerous President in all of American history — his only rival being Jefferson Davis.”

I will preface by saying this: I’m not racist, I’m just saying what most people see and dismiss as ‘race-baiting’ and whatever else have you.
Blacks and whites have different cultures generally. It’s natural. We are raised by different types of people, in different worlds. The color of your skin determines, many times, who your friends will be, which group will willingly vouch for you, and many other things. Michelle Obama is a black woman first, and then the President’s Ivy-league graduate, first-lady. She isn’t ANGRY; it’s just her personality. Black women deal with many things in the US that non-blacks dismiss easily. Most sophisticated black women learn to build a shell against these things, and it comes across as cold, but please remember the type of society Michelle grew up in was not as accepting as this one. [and at times, this society is brutal against Michelle. I've read articles comparing her to animals, saying she shouldn't show her arms, saying her bottom was too big, her mouth too wide, etc. etc.] Please try to be understanding, and try not to let your stereotypes run amuck about Michelle. She may be an Ivy-league graduate, but Michelle Obama dealt with harrowing issues just like most every-day Americans. The sad part is if many of you could subtract her blackness from the equation, you would like her. She is the American dream. Poor girl goes up in a not-so-great neighborhood, goes to Harvard, and marries the man who becomes the President of the US. If Michelle were white, would you have such a problem with her? Just answer honestly, and hopefully, recognize what you’re doing is something that’s been ingrained in you from young.

Michelle Obama: “I guess it’s more interesting to imagine this conflicted situation here and a strong woman. But that’s been an image that people have tried to paint of me since the day Barack announced. That I’m some angry black woman.”
Defensive much? You wouldn’t need to come out like this, if there wasn’t something to it. We all see it, that’s why these stories have any credit to begin with.
From an outsider’s perspective, many times her body language comes off as annoyed or dare I say angry. Her comments related to politics and being proud of her country only after Barack was elected doesn’t help.
I think she tries very hard to be nice, but fails at hiding her true emotions. She’s just not cut out for a public relations job — especially not one as big as the First Lady.

In my opinion Ms T-Mac speaks from her background and interactions of which many can identify with. Let’s just cite the recent nastiness that have been distributed about Mrs. Obama. We will remove race…
How disrespectful is it to note someone’s (what they–the instigator, perceive) imperfection and make fun of them when they are by far no Adonis themselves? The recent behavior of these “adult” men only reveals what they think of women in general and that is that they are nothing more than chattel. One would think the days have passed where men would take their grubby fat hands and without permission pat the fannies of the women who walk by them. But nooo… I suppose I would be more sympathetic were these men top-notch specimens themselves. However, they are not. They are fat and therefore probably have difficulty washing properly, bald, saggy skin, takes up more room on an airplane, atrocious eating habits and have difficulty walking in naming just a few of their imperfections. They are just plain disgusting! Yet, this type of person feels that they are in a perfect position to ridicule someone else?

To wheresmymoney: Your points are well taken. However, from what you have described, the anti-Bush League cited specific examples of their dismay with that president. His administration allowed the financial industry to be completely deregulated, which was the main cause of the current economic disaster. The quote you cited is accurate, the wealthy and large corporations were the sole benefactors from his tax cuts and financial policies, and look where that has led this country. Agree or disagree, but Bush’s foreign policy was weak, and he played on right wing conservatives to get us into a war that was completely unnecessary. He is not a bad man; he loves his family and his country. My specific point is Obama haters dislike the man because he is black; they think of him as unworthy of the presidency of the United States because of his race. The President and Mrs. Obama are well educated, intelligent persons who are trying to do the best they can in their positions to work for all of the people of this country. It is everyone’s right to disagree with the President and the Democrats on any issue they choose. However, in this day and age, saying a black man does not deserve to be president of this country is deplorable.

To Whoopstheydiditagain…Bush took trips to the ranch because that was his home…Obama made trips to Hawaii because that was his home…where he grew up and where is grandmother is burried. You seem to have forgotten the trip to France the Bush family …and I mean family ,,,two daughters who had to have extra security because they were out all night bar hopping which we paid for which is really a stupid thing to complain about but since you brought it up….and by the way…the Obama’s pay for Mom in law and any expences incurred by the children. No other president has done this including the Kennedy’s. Michelle has paid for the China she is allowed to choose for the White House even though no other president’s wife has done this. She felt it h er obligation to pay. The Obama’s have not done over their quarters saying everything is fine …we will buy and pay for anything else we need and they have. And…do you remember the helicopter fight. He never wanted a new helicopter…he said the old one was good enough…it was the complainers who felt he was spending too much money…..his first trip…God…is there no end to the stupidity of people???

Librarians:
I didn’t know that Obama’s home was Hawaii. He was the Senator from Illinois, went to school in Chicago, went to law school in Massachusetts and has a home in Chicago. His mother lived in Hawaii and he didn’t even like her. His grandmother lived in Chicago and he days she raised him.
SO maybe he needs to take his vacations in Chicago, He also never lived in Martha’s Vineyard, so let us not use this as the reason he goes on vacations to these places. He was born in Hawaii, but from what I can tell he never lived there, He spent more time with his father in Africa than he did in Hawaii.

Once again, ABC, tonight’s Evening News program showcased an EXCELLENT puff piece on Michelle Obama.
Michelle Obama in 2008: Speaking in Milwaukee, Wisconsin today, would-be First Lady Michelle Obama said, “For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.” Excuse me? For the first time in her adult life?
In 2008, she saw America as a country that “is just downright mean.”

Michelle Obama’s senior thesis at Princeton includes a survey of other black students, asking them if they feel as alienated, offended, ungrateful and, well, as ANGRY as she does. Along the way, she cites former Black Panther and racial separatist Stokely Carmichael as one of the writers whose thinking “guided” her.

How could she be angry after all of the more-than-luxurious vacations paid for by the taxpayers?
Posted by: Beavis | January 11, 2012, 9:02 pm 9:02 pm
If you are an angry woman underneath, you will always be angry even if you change your race, change your religion or change your job. You wiill be angry whether you work or on vacation, whether you work as a waitress or a First Lady. Remember what Yoda said, “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering”.

She is as ugly as she is angry .. America hater is what she truly is. Can’t wait for her to get out of our White House. She and her non American hubby need to go! Next time ask for the birth certificate before they are allowed to campaign. A true American would never deny or be ashamed of showing the public they were truly born here. These two are as crooked as they come!

Yeah! She’s going to be real angry when her hubby gets the boot from voters in November!
No more big parties at the White House or $100 million dollar vacations for Michelle!

The nasty comments coming from some people on here are pretty pathetic. Oh how your racism shows. We teach our children not to bully, call names, etc. but on here I see that all these “grown ups” have forgotten those lessons. Such a shameful and embarrasing display.

However, in this day and age, saying a black man does not deserve to be president of this country is deplorable.

How sad that you place words in other people’s mouths. I have heard no one say this. Liberals think because people don’t like his policies, they are haters. I don’t know the man personally, but I don NOT like his policies. There is a huge difference.

Gee Nick, I guess most of the posters here didn’t get Obama’s Civility Memo that he passed out after the Giffords incident.
From the NoBo Civility Memo Page 4 section 1.2,
When commenting about my wife please be nice to conservatives so that they don’t post too many derogatory things. I don’t want to face the wrath of Michelle daily.
: o )

At least the OBummers didn’t paint the White House black and rename it to the Black House.

Most people posting the racial slurs and hateful words are doing what they know and have been taught to do. Our culture here in America was founded on this behavior and our politicians are still feeding us this crap. “Oh please people. Obama was voted in as President due to racism” written by Serously, he plays the role well. Complex issues reduced to racist thoughts and reactions.

Michelle Obama is an amazing, wonderful woman. Black women are the most intelligent, strongest, and creative women on earth. That’s why people envy black women. It’s lonely at the top.

Everyone may envy intelligent, strongest, creative black women. But no one will envy an angry one.

Look it, she spent 20 years in Jeremiah Wright’s church. She has said she was never proud of this country,, she has called this country mean and hateful, her husband calls anyone that does not agree with them or look like them vile names. She sure sounds extremely angry! What her complexion is matters to her and her husband. so frequently that they are either raced obsesed or racist or both. She is indeed an angry woman, her complexion is irrelevant to all, but her and Barack and a few liberal racists.

So the black woman is angry. It’s okay to be angry, just not abusive to yourself or others. Our First Lady Michelle Obama is (viewing her from a distance) one of the most approachable personalities I have seen in my short time of giving attention to anything going on at the White House simply because none of it made sense to me.
I think we are missing the mark big time. We should stop relating so many things to the days of old when the black woman, as we are called, were insanely, angry because of their living conditions on the plantations; angry and frightened because they didn’t know who would be traded next, or killed. Put those two emotions together and then look at the face of the black woman. It would be so helpful if we won’t sterotype, but expect something different from others even when their complexion is as dark as night. We are capable of saying good things and expecting the best from each other. And even when you say it, and expect it; and they don’t come true for you, just remember, you have failed them, too. Give them another chance. Love them into the change, if in fact that’s the case.
There are folks who do not welcome change. Mrs. Obama has been seen in many arenas, graciously, professionally carrying out the business of our government, complimenting her husband, our beloved President Barrack Obama with a smile. Try to smile twenty-four hours a day without taking a break and see what you get. After a while it becomes not real; and people will know that, too.
Inside the Whitehomuse where I am not, there are great expectations for her to appear friendly; and people know that we are by what our countenance speaks. Even so, there is a time for everything. Hey, “tikes” there is something call “serious time”; and unless the countenance matches the spoken word, there will be less effectiveness; and our First Lady discerns that.
Give her her just due. She is public and poised; and she looks great: Educated and wise: a virtuous woman to her husband and a good mother to her children. She is a great example. Trust her facial gestures. I have not seen her bite anyone’s head off.
We love you, First Lady Michelle Obama; and we enjoy you just being you. Nobody’s perfect. We are still trying.
Good job.
