It appears Michelle Obama has been honing her signature dance moves for some time.

The first lady - famous for doing The Running Man and The Dougie - tweeted a Throwback Thursday photo that showed her busting moves as a youth, giving what appears to be a high kick as others dance in the background.

Obama, 50, told AARP in 2011 that she gleaned some of her latest dance moves from daughters Sasha and Malia.

The first lady tweeted the picture hours after she dance exercised with kids in suburban Washington, D.C., as part of her "Let's Move" campaign to get kids more active. Her dance partners in this case were giant vegetables.
