Palin publicly announced her project Sunday.

In a video on her YouTube channel, she called it "a news channel that really is a lot more than news." It will cover stories about her family, behind-the-scenes looks at events and "the issues that the mainstream media won't talk about," Palin said.

Palin expressed hope that the channel would be a "community," where viewers could share their concerns directly with her. However, this community does come at a cost. The subscription rate is $9.95 a month or $99.95 a year.
