If you're planning to travel, the bright lights of Las Vegas may have more to offer than you might ñsjjjy not just blackjack, slot machines% but also, some of the best food in the country. ABC's Rachel smith sampled them, with the help of the Las Vegas convention and visitors authority. Reporter: It's a tourist hot spot known for luxury, entertainment and even a little temptation. But beyond the bright lights, in spectacular water shows, like the one at the bellagio, the proximate four-mile stretch offers a smorgasbord of dining selections, more than any other U.S. Destination. The competition among chefs out here is pretty fierce. That makes the cuisine in this town grow. Reporter: Natch aurnaturally, that sent me behind the scenes. To sip or stir in the kitchen. First up, family style cuisine at Rao's in Caesar's palace. Why is Vegas a hot destination for restaurants and chefs around the world? It has evolved into this very rich, vibrant new city that has the best of the best these days. Reporter: Especially the meatballs. Oh, my gosh. Pretty good, huh? Reporter: I didn't know a meatball could be so good. Smack-dab in the center of the strip, is where stevenfá is heating things up. At stk Las Vegas at the cosmopolitan. Something we do different at stk, is we have small, large and medium cuts. Everybody is going to eat comfortably, and not be too full so they can go out and enjoy Vegas night life. Reporter: And I go to the border grill Las Vegas, inside the mandalay bay casino. The two hot tamales. Why is Vegas the place to be? It's such a fun place to be.
