Now we have an inspiring group of girl scouts making headlines across the country, there troop 6000 has been selling cookies online at an incredible rate despite the pandemic, more than 400,000 boxes this year and a great cause, Mona Kosar Abdi joins us with more. Good morning, Mona. Reporter: Robin, good morning. Troop 6000 has been around since 2017 but these girls are already making a name for themselves through their incredible cookie selling skills. The world was first introduced to troop 6000 three years ago as the first group designed to serve young women living in shelters. We sell the cookies. It was fun because I learned it for the first time and I learned it very quick, so I'm proud of myself. Reporter: Now those in-person interactions once the corner stone of selling cookies are no more. Everything is done virtually. You're going to put your girl scout signs up. Reporter: Including troop meetings. We don't see each other face to face, makes me sad. Reporter: Despite other businesses around the country struggling the troop's cookie business has skyrocketed. Last year, they sold about 25,000 boxes, this year they've already sold more than 16-times that, over 400,000 boxes and sales will continue at least through March. The director believes kindness during the pandemic has helped. They're buying the cookies to give to their food delivery workers as extra tips and giving to food banks. Reporter: But for these girls the real victory is still having each other to lean on. I've gotten a sisterhood being in this troop. Not many kids our age are experiencing homelessness and it's nice to be able to speak to those going through the same struggles. Reporter: If you're considering buying girl scouts, remember one thing -- The more cookies you buy the happier you'll be. Reporter: Now many many of us don't need an excuse to buy girl scout cookies. But it does feel good to know that our sugar cravings are going to a sweet cause, all proceeds go to earning badges, like S. 26789 E.M. Education. Find out more about troop 6000 on our website. Coming up, zendaya joins us live. This is an accuweather snow
