Moving on now to a major spring cleaning. For that we're hopping into our hot mess express and heading to a kitchen in desperate need of an upgrade. A dingy backslash, harsh lighting and old linoleum floor, this New York City kitchen needs a major refresh. I heard somebody is looking for the hot mess express. Here to help. Hi. I'm Lara. Nice to meet you. Come on in. Can I see your hot mess? Meet Carrie Solomon who avoids being in her outdated kitchen at all costs. Your backflash is like the abyss. You can't see where it ends. What bothers you the most? I feel like it's a good space and I'm not using it well. Reporter: To help her we called in leraa fine from laurel "Own the moment" wolf. What are we doing for the family. We are going to paint the kitchen and do all new hardware. Replace the sink and the faucet. Please tell me we shall's doing the backsplash. We definitely are. New floor, new light fixture. Let's get to work, girl. First up, fresh paint. And the color is -- Ooh? Like my eyes. The white walls come alive with a coat of color. This color is gorgeous. We lighten up the room with a new backblack and no demolition required. This is real stone but it is peel and stick so actually all you do is peel off the back of this and then you're I believe to stick it right on top of your existing backsplash. But we did Freddie and his team for backup. An easy fix to hide old flooring. We will be covering up this outdated floor and putting on this beautiful new faux marble tile that sticks on. Small hardware changes will make a big impact like swapping out stainless steel for beautiful bronze. A new porcelain sink replaces the old. It's going to be amazing. And for a bit of whimsy. A laurel & wolf pro tip apply a fun wallpaper to the back of this for contrast. Time for finishing touches. Welcome to your new kitchen, girl. Oh, my gosh. It doesn't even look like the same room. I love what you did over here. Do you like it? I love it. It doesn't look like the same room at all. I like the light fixture too. So nice. It's mother's day just about. So a little present from your friends at "Gma." We got you this Keurig K elite coffee maker. Iced coffee anyone. Iced too. Iced. Thank you so much. And that, my friends is what we call a hot mess success. On to the next one. And there will be a next one and we have to thank our sponsor Keurig and we have a surprise for everybody in our audience from them. All of you going home with a K elite coffee maker, you guys. Yeah. You guys want ice coffee, check. Just one button away. Hot coffee, it's got that too. We are calling this an early mother's day present for everyone in the audience.
