Two commuter trains slamming into a truck on the tracks on New York's Long Island. They have multiple people in the train. Reporter: More than 800 people on board those trains which can travel up to 80 miles per hour. We felt a thud. A really hard thud and then the brakes just snapped. Reporter: You can see the mangled mess of what is a left of the truck, all three people inside killed. Witnesses say the vehicle tried driving around the railroad crossing Gates when it was hit by one train, another traveling in the opposite direction striking it again. The vehicle was pushed westbound and that's when the front two cars of the westbound train came off the rails. Reporter: First responders on the scene within minutes. A full department response.
