celebrated dog behaviorist in the world with hit TV shows, bestselling books and soldout world tours. Cesar Millan has made it his mission to educate people about canines. Please give a warm welcome to Sophia and the dog whisperer himself, Cesar Millan. Hey, Sofia, what's up? Hi. Oh, I get to sit by her. Yeah. Yeah. Let's start out with Sophia. She's a rescue. Yes, yes, yes. In the beginning it was for a client of mine. It didn't work out. My dog junior was a pitbull said, I'll take it. How many dogs do you have? Ten. Ten? Ten, I used to have 65 when I started. You know, that's before the dog whisperer title. J let's talk about the claim to fame. You talked about teaching old dogs new tricks. Can you teach us how to do it properly? Because if you're really good, man, this will give you some trouble. Let's see how good you are. You're missing the snap. Yeah. I'm too much air. Yeah, yeah. You're making the lip -- You sound like a fan. Oh, that is so bad. Now, Cesar, what's the biggest mistake that people make with their dogs? Listen, I believe that we humans need to be train, not the dog but the human behind the dog. So, you know, we still believe -- not we, but most people believe that pitbulls is a breed that's dangerous. But animal, dog, breed, name. They're all dogs, different breed. We're all humans, different race. It's not the breed or the race that has the problem, it's who raises the dog. That's a great point. That's a great point. Okay, Cesar, the new live show, my story unleashed you bring your life to the stage, how did you get to Hollywood in the first place? I run really fast. I jumped the border. So, you know, I'm that story. I wanted to come to America to learn from Americans how to train dogs. I grew up watching "Lassie." I thought every dog many America was just like lassie and rin tin tin. I come from a low-income family. I was able to jump the border. My father gave me $100. I ended up gives it to the coyote guy. Then after that, I was homeless for two months. And then I got to meet Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. From that point on, those two angels really helped me, she paid for a teacher so I could learn English. Yes, yes. If anyone had a Cesar, he worked with my unruly trixie before. We want to share you, though. There are a lot of people with questions here. We want to start out. Where is Linda? Linda, where are you? Hi. Hi, Cesar. Really nice to meet you. Thank you. I have an 8-month-old puppy. But the only problem with her, she loves to dig in my yard, right now we have seven holes and my husband keeps filling them in with topsoil. She keeps digging it back up. How can I get her to stop? 60% of the brain is controlled by the nose. One area that people don't challenge a dog is the nose of the dog. So search and rescue will be ideal for this dog. This dog is looking for something. So if you give him something to look for he doesn't have to look for things the ground. You have to redirect this and repress this. Linda, if he's digging in the yard you may want to know the former homeowners -- where is Michelle? Hi, Cesar. Big fan. I have an 8-year-old named hero. He's puppy, he loves other dogs. But now, he's actually really mean to puppies. Lot more aggressive. How do I get him to be nicer to cute little puppies? Puppyhood, adult and senior, it's normal for seniors not to see a puppy as cute. Lot of puppies are actually -- senior dogs they want puppies to stay at a distance. They go toward the puppy. They feel if the puppy moves toward them it's a disrespectful behavior. You understand? Yes, so seeing if from how you see it is not how he sees it. It's important to honor the instincts of the dogs and understand why they make sure the puppy follows the rules and limitations before the senior says, you can come in. We'll have to have Cesar back again. Make sure to catch Cesar Millan's new show, my story unleashed starting September 12th at the mgm grand in las Vegas.
