Transcript for Hilton celebrates 100th anniversary with special surprise for a deserving volunteer
Back now with a special celebration for our sponsor their 100th anniversary of the world famous hotel chain and president and CEO of Hilton Krishna setta is here to tell us about it. Congratulations. 100 years. How about that, guys. There's a lot of firsts that Hilton has delivered to us in our society over the years and a lot of them I'm familiar with and I want to bring out your chef. Come on out. He's got some things that look delicious. Tell us about some of them. That looks like a pina co-ladda. So, rob, much of the business as you know it today, things we take for granted. Hilton invented. The things that I would say I'm most proud of. The pina colada. Yeah, yeah. That is tea actually pretty I love getting caught in the rain too. So the other thing we invented was the brownie, which most people don't know. Okay. Really? And probably not my favorite but my daughter's and by the way I have six daughters, and they're very liberal users of this. Room service. We invented room service. Ooh! I'm not sure he's happy about the room service but so these are fantastic and you know you've been celebrated by giving back to people around the world especially our mother's day breakfast in bed if we did, indeed? Now you're celebrating folks around the world how? Well, you know, we're in the business of hospitality every single day of the year but we thought for our 100th anniversary what better way to celebrate than to celebrate in the communities around the world with random acts of hospitality. We did it as you said here at "Gma" on mother's day. We've done it by providing desserts to first responders, by providing breakfast to commuters, by providing a white linen dinner to vets rebuilding homes and a bunch of other things from Chicago to Shanghai all over the world to celebrate Hilton hospitality. And maybe, maybe if all goes well we'll celebrate a random act of hospitality here with you too? We have such a great audience. So many volunteers that we want to toast here in the audience one woman, a special thanks to, a volunteer with safe passage which helps family and children turn difficult times into success. Liza Magill, where are you? Come on up. Hi. All right, well, Hilton has a bit of a surprise. Liza so first of all, we are so proud of the work you do in your community and to celebrate you and to thank you for that work on behalf of everybody at Hilton all 400,000 of us around the world we want to provide you and a companion a dream vacation of a lifetime at any Hilton hotel of 1 of our nearly 6,000 hotels. And we're not done. We're not done. And so you get the vip treatment that you give everybody in your community, not just on this trip but for the rest of your life we want to make you a Hilton diamond member for life. Yes! Thank you. Come on over. Come on over, liza. I told you there would be others. Very surprised. Everybody, guess what, the audience gets a Hilton credit for a stay anywhere in the
